She can be shy in new situations and prefers calm, cozy spaces where she feels safe. Once she’s comfortable, Daenerys seeks out her person and shows her affectionate side — coming out for gentle pets, sitting nearby, and enjoying peaceful companionship. Daenerys is a very calm, quiet girl who brings a soothing presence to a home. Her foster describes her as gentle, loving, and incredibly easy to be around. She enjoys attention, happily comes over for treats and affection, and has been gaining weight and thriving in foster care. While she’s more low-key than high-energy, Daenerys does enjoy playtime in her own gentle way. She likes batting around toys, engaging with her person, and can also entertain herself when she’s feeling comfortable and confident. In foster, Daenerys was neutral around the dog and mostly kept to herself, making her a great fit for a quiet home or one with respectful, low-energy pets. Daenerys is FIV positive, which means she has a weakened immune system and should live indoors. FIV is only spread between cats through deep bite wounds and cannot be transmitted to people or other animals. Many FIV+ cats live long, happy, normal lives with proper care and routine veterinary visits. Because of her diagnosis, Daenerys should either be an only cat or live with other FIV-positive cats.
