Story
Meet Kricket – your spotted shadow and soon-to-be best friend 💕 Kricket is a stunning Dalmatian who is true to her breed in all the best ways. She’s smart, loyal, and full of personality, with a heart that belongs entirely to her person. If you’ve ever wanted a constant companion, Kricket is your girl—she is the definition of a Velcro dog and would happily spend 24/7 by your side if she could! This sweet girl is both potty trained and crate trained, and she enjoys playing with other dogs once properly introduced. While she may be a little unsure of dogs through a fence, give her a slow and positive introduction and she’s ready to make friends and have fun. As for cats, she’s definitely curious and may give chase—but truthfully, she’s probably more intimidated by them than they are of her! Kricket is currently working on her house manners, like sleeping independently and staying off the couch. She might voice her opinion about these new rules (she’s got a little sass!), but she’s learning more every day. Because Dalmatians are such people-oriented dogs, it’s important her future family continues reinforcing these boundaries to help prevent separation anxiety and build her confidence. She can be a bit protective when unfamiliar people approach her person, but it comes from a place of love and loyalty. Once she realizes everything is okay, she warms up quickly and shows her gentle, affectionate nature. Like many Dalmatians, Kricket does have some skin sensitivities. She’ll need ongoing care with either a daily medication (Apoquel) or a monthly Cytopoint injection to keep her comfortable and itch-free—but with proper management, she continues to thrive. Kricket is truly a 10/10 kind of dog—loyal, loving, and full of life. She’s looking for a home that understands her breed, will continue her training, and most importantly, will give her all the love she’s so eager to return. If you’re ready for a devoted best friend who will stick by your side through it all, Kricket is waiting for you 🖤
