Story
Cougar came into rescue after the breeder retired & surrendered his remaining dogs. She had only known life inside a chain link dog run with a cement floor, being forced to breed. She is loving her freedom now and her fun personality is emerging! She is so excited to engage in play with dogs who don't intimidate her. If they do intimidate her, she shakes & cowers. She will need a well socialized dog who will be kind in showing her the ropes of being a spoiled rescue dog. Cougar needs a home with a fenced yard and cannot live in an apartment or where she won't have direct access to a fenced yard. Noisy, young children would scare her. Her dream home is a calming environment where she can discover all the joys of life that await her. Cougar is petite and beautiful. We cannot wait to see who will be the lucky person or family to adopt this amazing girl! Cougar is an English Pointer who was born approximately 8-5-19 and weighs 41 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. Story
My name is Dallas, and I am a sweet Texas boy seeking my forever home! My perfect human or (humans) should be ready to take me on lots of adventures and will be happy to know that I am doing very good with walking on a leash. They will also need to be able to keep up with my big energy and puppy playfulness! I will need a home with a fenced yard with lots of room to run. I cannot live in an apartment; I wouldn't be happy without my own yard to romp and play fetch in – and I am a very good fetcher! My foster mom says I am a quick learner. I can sit, lay down, and can stay, though that last one is a little hard for me when I get excited about things! I think I could probably learn some other cool things too if my forever family wants to teach me! I’ve also been getting the hang of the whole potty-training thing. My foster parents tell me to “go potty” when I go outside, and I know what they mean. I try to take care of that as soon as possible so I can move on to more fun things! I really enjoy playing with the other dogs in my foster home and think it would be great to have a dog to play with in my forever home too. I also keep trying to befriend the cats in my foster home, but they don’t seem to like me very much – I can’t understand why!? It’s not my favorite thing, but I am also doing well staying in a kennel when I must, even all through the night with no issues. Boy, I can’t wait to stretch my legs in the yard every morning though! I'm still a pup and want to share my days & nights with very own person or family. If my other qualities haven’t sold you on me, then I guess I’ll have to bring up my good looks too! Have you seen my photos? Checked out my handsome smile? What adventures await us? I'm ready to go! Dallas is a male English Pointer. He was born approximately 12-14-22 and weighs 51 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Story
I am a sweet & goofy boy that loves everyone and everything I encounter. I had a rough start in life. I was rescued from a puppy mill where I spent all my time in a kennel with a cement floor, but that doesn’t stop me from always being happy and having a big goofy smile on my face. I like exploring new places and will happily join you anywhere you want to go. The dog park is my favorite! I also like to run around, and should probably have a yard to play in. Further, I like all dogs and humans that I meet. I might get a bit clumsy and overwhelming for the smaller ones, but I am never aggressive or unfriendly (I’m even good with my foster’s cat). Even though I had no previous training, I am housebroken and crate-trained, and working on my manners – I am slowly learning how to walk politely on a leash, and that I only get treats and pets when I have all four paws on the floor. I want to be a good boy, even when I don’t exactly know what that means, and would probably respond really well to some training. I am a great dog that would be a loving addition to any family. Mr. Big is an English Pointer who was born approximately 8-2-20 and weighs 48 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention.
