Story
Meet Gilley - a handsome 2 year old young man! His mom was a Dalmatian mix and his dad was a heeler mix. He’s neutered, chipped, house and crate trained, walks well on a leash. He gets along great with other dogs and cats and hasn’t been around children. His family was found under a house that was blown up by a meth lab in East TX, the previous owner left the dogs there. He and his sister, Callie, are living in a wonderful foster home and are ready for their own furever families!

Story
Meet Callie - a beautiful 2 year old young "squatty" girl. Her mom was a Dalmatian mix and dad was a heeler mix. She has been spayed, chipped, house and crate trained, walks well on a leash. She gets along great with other dogs and cats and hasn’t been around children. Her fur family was found under a house that was blown up by a meth lab in East TX, the previous owner left the dogs there. She and her brother, Gillie, are living in a wonderful foster home and are ready for their own furever families! They can be adopted together, or separately, not bonded.

Story
Miss Betty loves walks, and sometimes dances her way on the trail. She adores car rides, children, middle aged women, boiled eggs and smooches! She would be the perfect companion for a Mom or Dad who wanted to pal around in the outdoors. Betty is allergic to many grasses and trees in Texas, and will need a modified diet as she is allergic to many things in commercial dog foods. Fee will be donated to a rescue/shelter.

Story
Ester is a beautiful young pup, estimated to be between 10-12 months old, with black and white/grey and typical gsp coat. She had a rough start to life but is thriving in our care. Ester was found starving and abandoned, covered in fleas and severely malnourished. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into a loving and trusting companion. Ester is incredibly confident and playful with both people and other dogs. Her journey to recovery has not dampened her spirit. She is still very petite but has filled in nicely since being found. Social Skills and Behavior: Ester is a high energy pup who loves to play and interact with others. She is affectionate and enjoys the company of people and other dogs. Her playful nature means she sometimes doesn't realize her own strength and has accidentally knocked over toddlers, always looking apologetic afterwards. Despite this, she is gentle and caring, making her a sweet addition to any family. Training and Progress: In the last few months, Ester has shown remarkable progress: - Potty training: She is working on it and making steady improvements. Never poops inside but has trouble holding her bladder for more than a few hours. - Crate training: she is crate trained and enjoys being in her kennel staying quiet for the most part unless she needs to go potty. - Leash training: She walks easily on a leash, making walks enjoyable. Health and Care: Ester has had a few health complications. During her spay surgery, the vet noticed abnormalities. During recovery, her previous foster noticed she was having a hard time holding her bladder while in her kennel. After follow up visits with the vet, they decided an additional exploratory surgery was necessary. The vet discovered her bladder was lined with unknown substance that was hard as bone. Biopsy of the material found came back as unknown and puzzled the vets. After a few rounds of antibiotics she has made a full recovery from her last surgery however still has an incontinence issue. She is currently on a medication to help her with this issue and we have seen improvements, however she still needs to wear a diaper inside and in her kennel. She has been on the new medication for about 3 weeks and we have seen significant improvements and more than half of the time her diapers are completely dry. Ideal Home: Ester will thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and playtime. Due to her high energy levels and strength, she will do best with a family who can provide her with ample training and supervision. She loves being around people and will be a wonderful companion for a family who can match her playful spirit and give her the love she deserves. If you are looking for a resilient, affectionate, and energetic pup to add joy and excitement to your life, Ester could be the perfect fit. She is ready to find her forever home and share her love and playful energy with a family who will cherish her. Come meet Ester and see if she’s the perfect addition to your family! Foster-to-Adopt is a great way for a trial period with a dog.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 10/13/23, and the pictures were taken on 10/6/23.  Cora was at the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter for 30 days, so we tagged her, and picked her up on 9/23.  She is very energetic, so may not be good around smaller children.  We don't know if she is house or crate trained, she does well on a leash, but needs more work, and is good with other dogs.  We have not seen any signs of her trying to dig or climb over the fencing.  We don't know how she is with cats.  She was estimated to be 1 year 6 months old on 8/28/23 weighing 49.6 pounds.  She will be spayed on 10/18/23, and his heartworm negative. $25 adoption fee, since donations were made for her vet care.July 17, 2024, 8:30 pm
