Story
Pigeon came to us very timid and tense. He has warmed up and his personality is really shining now! He is still very shy but very sweet and curious. He loves to cuddle up on the couch to observe everybody, including checking himself out in the mirror! It took a lot of bribing and rewarding with treats to get him to use the doggy door but he isn’t having any accidents in the house now and he loves playing and cuddling with our 4 year old goldendoodle. I’m not sure how he is with other dogs, cats or kids yet, but with a little patience and time I think he will be a terrific friend for anybody!

Story
Cardinal is a beautiful boy with a gentle soul and the sweetest, softest eyes. He can be a little shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a big baby who absolutely loves people. He’s just learning how to be brave in his own skin and discovering that the world isn’t so scary after all. He enjoys other doggies and would likely do great with a confident canine friend to help show him the ropes. Cardinal is also working on building trust with people and getting more comfortable on the leash — and he’s making progress every day. All he needs is a patient, loving home that will continue to encourage him and celebrate the little wins. Once he feels safe, he melts for head rubs and attention. With a little time and a lot of love, Cardinal will blossom into the most loyal, affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted pup to grow with, Cardinal is ready to steal your heart!

Story
Jay ! Named after the beautiful blue jay, our sweet Jay is just as special and eye-catching. This adorable boy may be a little shy at first, but there’s a brave heart behind those gentle eyes. New things can feel a bit scary right now, but Jay is willing to learn and tries his best every single day. He’s currently learning how to use a leash and is making steady progress with patience and encouragement. Jay truly enjoys pets and attention, and once he feels comfortable, he leans in for affection and soaks it all up. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his people and blossoms in a calm, loving environment. Jay would do best with someone who understands that confidence takes time and is ready to celebrate the small victories along the way. With reassurance and love, this shy fella will spread his wings and become the loyal, devoted companion he’s meant to be.
