Story
Meet Charlie, our resilient three-legged Doberman dynamo! We rescued him after a hit-and-run incident, and he's ready to strut his stuff into your heart and home! Charlie, the Doberman with a heart of gold, is seeking an ideal home – one that's fairly calm, with no cats or small kids. Non-slippery floors are a must, given his three-legged dance moves! This smart boy is a quick learner, especially when treats are involved – total foodie alert! Dobermans, like Charlie, are known for their intelligence and eagerness to please, making them fantastic companions for training adventures. Give Charlie a little patience when you first meet him; he's been through a lot, but his Doberman loyalty shines bright. Dobermans are known for their protective nature and loyalty to their families. Charlie's all about that playtime fun – fetch and tug of war are his games of choice! He loves a good chin scratch and being close to his humans, embodying the affectionate nature that Dobermans are famous for. Crate life is improving, but a bit of monitoring is needed; he's got a keen eye for trying to munch on things around the house. &#239&#184&#143‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Responsible ownership is key with Dobermans – they're energetic, intelligent, and thrive with proper training and socialization. Ready to welcome Charlie, the resilient Doberman, into your heart and home? Drop us a message to arrange a meet-and-greet. Let's give this handsome hound the loving family he deserves! #AdoptDontShop #CharlieTheChamp #RescueDogHero #DobermanLoveApril 27, 2024, 6:20 pm

Story
Meet ALMOND, a sweet little Doberman mix. She is about 2 years old, shy at first, then super friendly when she gets to know and trust you. Almond is a petite girl, at just about 40 lbs. Almond came to Wags and Whiskers when her family had to change homes and could not take Almond or her 7 puppies with them; she has sat patiently waiting for someone to come meet her and take her home, while she has watched most of her puppies get adopted. If you think you can give this sweet girl everything she deserves in life, please don't hesitate to apply to meet her today! Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member. All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.  Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.  If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.  530-895-8888 If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.    April 27, 2024, 6:20 pm

Story
They call me Chestnut! My siblings, mom and I all came to Wags and Whiskers together when our family had to change homes, and said we couldn't come with them. Lucky for us, Wags and Whiskers stepped up and has kept us safe, vetted, and promised my mom she'd never have to raise more siblings of mine again! Most of my siblings have found their homes now, but I'm still looking! Everyone says that I'm very handsome, and a quick learner! I'm super treat motivated, so I'll try my best to do whatever you want, so I can get nummy treats, that means I'm easy to train! Staff here say that even though I'm a bigger breed, I'm really a big baby; I guess I don't stand my ground against other dogs much, I'm just a big softy, what can I say! If you are looking for a sweet, larger breed pup, apply to meet me (and/or my mama, Almond) today!   Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member.
