Story
Sheila is a funny, playful, affectionate 8 month old Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd mix puppy who is full of spunk and personality! She can be a bit timid with new things at first, but her true self comes out within minutes! Sheila weighs about 45lbs currently and will likely be about 55lbs fully grown. Sheila was found as a stray and brought to our local high kill shelter where she was placed on the euthanasia list for being scared. Shy, scared dogs usually face a bleak outcome at our severely overcrowded shelters, and that's the way it was looking for poor Sheila. Luckily, we were able to rescue her and have gotten to see what a sweet girl she is! Sheila has a lot of that standard puppy energy you see in dogs her age, but she knows how to reel it back in if she's starting to get too crazy. Being part Doberman and German Shepherd, Sheila is a very intelligent girl and learns quickly. She is a goofy and affectionate little girl and loves to cuddle and be pet! Sheila plays very well with other dogs and seems to get along with just about everyone. She can be a little forward sometimes which can be intimidating to some dogs, but she takes corrections well and is learning to be calmer around the dogs who are more shy. Sheila is crate trained, mostly potty trained, walks fairly well on a leash, is good with other dogs, kids, and people of all kinds. She would prefer to have a canine sibling in her new home, but this is not required for her to love her happiest life. All she really needs is a family to call her own and lots of love! Sheila is located in Houston TX but can be transported to most US states for adoption.

Story
Canela is a 3-year, 88lb Doberman with a heart as warm as her name suggests. Despite the breed's reputation for intensity, Canela breaks the mold with her calm and affectionate nature. She thrives on gentle petting and cherishes quiet moments with her favorite humans. While she enjoys playtime, Canela prefers low-key activities over roughhousing. A home with older children would be best. She is crate trained and house trained. Her favorite pastimes include leisurely walks, sunbathing, and cozying up for cuddles. Her serene demeanor makes her a comforting presence in any setting. Canela's loyalty and gentle spirit have endeared her to everyone she meets. Whether she's offering a soft nuzzle or simply sitting by your side, she has a special way of making people feel loved and at ease. In a world that often moves too fast, Canela reminds us of the joy found in stillness and the profound bond between humans and their canine companions. Applications at bigloverescue.org. Canela is vaccinated and just completed heartworm treatment. Big Love is courtesy posting this beauty and helping with the adoption process.

Story
Meet Mars! Mars comes from a litter of purebred Doberman parents;her dad is a European Doberman and her mom is an American Doberman, both from a family member. She is 3 years old and celebrates her birthday on September 11th. We are looking for a loving, active owner who can give Mars the time and attention she deserves. She absolutely loves going for runs, spending time at the park, and getting lots of head rubs. Mars is friendly, joyful, loyal, loving, energetic, curious and a total goofball! She is wonderful with kids, always gentle and playful around them. Mars is 100% an indoor dog and adores stuffed animals she can chew on. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited companion who’s great with children, Mars might be the perfect match for your family!

Story
I have a Doberman Husky who needs a home. She is roughly 7 months old. She has her first set of shots through tractor supply. She will need to get her second round and rabies shot. She will come with her kennel. Collar and leash. And a bag of dog food. She has been around other dogs, cats and kids. She is a good girl. She still has her puppy mentality. She does know basic commands. We haven’t had any issues with her chewing on anything, but we also haven’t left her out extended long periods of time without supervision. Due to us moving in the next three weeks, she will need to find a home as soon as possible. My phone number is (xxx) xxx-xxxx .

Story
Winston is your typical Doberman and he is definitely a Velcro dog. We have other dogs, cats, and even chickens. For the most part he gets along with all of them especially our cocker spaniels. The cats and chickens he wants to play with but they don't like to play so he needs redirected. He loves tug a war and fetch and he is a big baby. He is very treat motived and loves fruits especially watermelon and bananas. He knows how to open doors so he does have a bad tendency to scratch up doors. One of the main reasons we are looking to rehome him is he does not seem to like my wife. He will randomly growl at her and wont listen. Lately I've been going out of town more and my wife wont feel comfortable in the house when is acting weird and he is very strong weighing over 100lbs. I love Winston and hate to do this but this is my only option at this point. I would love for him to get adopted by someone experienced with Dobermans. Please if you have any questions call me and ask

MEET BUDDY! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 'Buddy has been such a good houseguest. He likes his kennel and enjoys watching sitcoms.' 'Buddy loves to play and has given our old dogs some good exercise.' Buddy is your bud if you are looking for a cool, fun dog to take on adventures or hang out on quiet evenings channel surfing. He is up or whatever you have planned! Background: Buddy is another Houston casualty of an irresponsible owner. He was found tangled up in a gas meter by his anchor wire still attached to his collar. It was his good fortune to be found across the street from his foster mom and dad who are dog lovers. Buddy was severely malnourished and had some skin issues just beginning. Despite his condition, he has maintained a sweet and happy demeanor and has been a good houseguest. Personality: Buddy is a well mannered dog who enjoys meeting and being around people. He is respectful and will not jump on you. He really enjoys his walks, which help to expend some of his young energy, and walks well. Buddy is a medium on the energy scale. Buddy is now in a home with several other dogs and has done fabulously. He wants to play with other dogs and would do well with another balanced, playful dog. Buddy is very smart and food motivated so training him would be very easy. He is already very responsive to recall and some commands such as place and kennel. Health: Buddy has been semi-raw fed with skin supplements which have really boosted his health. His skin issues have resolved and he has a beautiful glossy red coat. Buddy has been neutered, is HW negative, UTD on vaccines and ready to find a home. Home: Buddy would do well in a home with another playful, balanced dog. He would enjoy playing with older children in the home but we would not put him in a home with small children because of his energy level. He would do well as a running companion or going on an early morning bike ride. Buddy is a young boy and needs daily exercise to be a good companion. If you love the breed and are looking for a good companion dog for yourself or a friend for your dog, this is your guy. Buddy is a gem!
