Story
Emilia Smiles! She is a social butterfly with a gentle play style. She is always looking to make friends. Emilia is comfortable with people and likes to be right next to humans, looking for petting, hugs and cuddles. Sometimes she gets so excited, she jumps up on people for petting - patience in continued training to show her how to ask for love politely ‘paws on the ground’ is ongoing in her foster home. Emilia has a docked tail, floppy ears and a soft coat. Appears to be a Doberman - she is petite at just 50 lbs. She has been aged at 2-3 years old by our Veterinarian, being an adult but young she has puppy like enthusiasm for life. She is Crate trained, house trained and always looking forward to play dates with her doggie friends. Emilia came to rescue through dedicated volunteers who check areas around Houston where dogs are dumped; spending their time feeding street dogs and finding care for abandoned pets. Emilia was seen at a park and coming to feeders, she was found to have no microchip, be in poor health and underweight. Once seen by our Vet partners, her intake was completed with deworming and vaccines before being spayed. We learned she smiles submissively which is endearing for such a gentle dog. Emilia is now microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm testing negative and on prevention. She is ready to meet her forever home. UPDATED BIO COMING Boss is very clingy to his humans and unsure in public - he was named 'Boss' from the litter due to his bigger size and confidence in the pack. Now on his own, away from the litter, he is seeking direction and routine to thrive. He is all DOBERMAN in his energy, brain and socializing - he is always thinking. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Mom and Dad are black medium sized, pups to be ~50 to 60 lbs as adults. This litter was not planned, family took good care of them but they lacked socializing outside of the home - they are scared of new things and resort to protective behaviors when in public or have a lot of strangers visiting. Not yet 2 years old - training and boundaries are key! Volunteers Fueled by Caffeine and Compassion to help Care for Dogs in Today's Pet Crisis in Texas. MORE DETAILS COMING He is tall and guessed to be about 5 years old. He stands taller than the breed standard of a Doberman and fits in the category of a Warlock or King size bred Doberman. Last weighed 88 lbs. He could be a 95 lb-110 lb dog with proper muscle. Zeke can be selective with other male dogs, he intimates them and barks at them. Zeke will require breed experience to adjust to a new home successfully. He requires a confident human to tell him what to do, he can be stubborn and try to pull someone along. He will chew through a leash or teether so appropriate containment is necessary, supervision and interaction required while in public. Vaccinated, tested positive for heartworms at intake and treated, now on prevention, microchipped, neutered. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. Adoption Fee ($650.00) includes XL crate fee on transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. Story
Chandler Goose's Story Chandler loves, LOVES chasing balls and chewing ropes. He is very vocal, whining and barking when he wants attention or needs to go outside/wants to go run the yard. He was kenneled at the shelter for months before coming to rescue, so he is reluctant to crate at his foster home for long periods of time but is sleeping overnight in a crate for practice. He is an anxious chewer and blanket sucker when inside/crated. He prefers to sleep on a dog bed, couch or the floor - he does well confined to a room or large kennel run. Chandler is being trained with boundaries (baby gates) and does not push open doors or push past people. He knows sit and is easy to walk on a leash. He barks at people and things at a distance but does not show aggression. He is tall and at 3 years old, will not get any taller - which is fine since he is above the breed standard of a Doberman and fitting in the category of a Warlock or King size bred Doberman. He is continuing to gain weight/muscle and last weighed 85 lbs. He could be a 95 lb-110 lb dog. >> He will need a family accepting of his initial anxiety - he barks at new things and people (which is unnerving since he's huge) but will give kisses by the 2nd date or meeting, give 48 hours in a new home before he understands. He is working on house training and socializing. He functions with a puppy brain but is very trainable and eager to please. He will jump on people, he will pull at objects in someone's hand. Chandler Goose will require breed experience to adjust to a new home successfully. Goose reacts out of insecurity - he requires a confident human. !!! He has been slowly introduced to other dogs and thriving in group play. He does well with other big dogs males and females; he wants to play and smell, following the lead of other dogs. He would like dog friends and a yard to play. Due to his size and limited social skills, He should not be exercised at a dog park. Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/UNgh6IvlV8U?si=i-Q9xYtOpNeCRWga Vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms and on prevention, microchipped, neutered. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. Adoption Fee ($650.00) includes XL crate fee on transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. He was poorly socialized and was not used to strangers and never had dog friends. He was significantly underweight at 54 lbs and barked at strangers. The shelter staff knew the best way to find the 'right' family for their 'Silly Goose' would be through Rescue. Chandler Goose weighed in at 70 lbs during his rescue intake and was still noticeably underweight with poor muscle tone.

Story
Meet KC! 🐾 KC is a 9-month-old female Doberman mix weighing 40 lbs and looking for her forever family. KC is a dynamic pup with a wonderful combination of intelligence, affection, and fun. She has proven to be a quick learner who is eager to please. In a short amount of time, she has learned to calmly settle at her "place" when asked, enjoy quiet time in her crate, and is quickly developing excellent leash manners. This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate and would happily spend her day cuddled up next to you—or preferably right in your lap! She loves meeting new people and is immediately friendly with both humans and other dogs. While KC still has her moments of slightly chaotic puppy energy, she also has an impressive ability to "read the room" and match the mood around her. When it's time to relax, she happily settles in and becomes calm, cozy, and content. KC is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to start her next chapter with a family of her own. KC is looking for a home that will continue helping her learn, grow, and enjoy all the adventures life has to offer.
