Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Phoebe is a beautiful 1½ year old girl with confidence, curiosity, and loads of personality. She’s smart, learns quickly, loves her people, and enjoys other dogs. Active and playful when it’s time to move, she also has a great off switch once her physical and mental needs are met. She’s sweet and affectionate without being clingy. Phoebe has mild, short-lived separation anxiety (usually 5–10 minutes), crates readily, sleeps quietly through the night, and is impressively easy for her age, though she is vocal and likes to keep everyone informed when something seems “off.” Handling her is a dream. Nail trims and general handling are effortless. She’s still polishing her leash manners and overall skills, but she’s eager to please and wants to do things right. Phoebe would thrive in an active home that enjoys hiking, outdoor adventures, or dog sports and is committed to providing both physical exercise and mental enrichment. With the right match, she’ll be an incredible companion.  Phoebe would do best in a home with Doberman/breed experience.   Adoption Fee for Phoebe:  $100.00 includes spay/neuter, micro-chipping and all up to date vettingVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2026, 12:05 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I’m one of the goofiest boys you’ll ever meet! One of my favorite pastimes is lounging in my kennel with the door wide open, happily chewing on my rubber dumbbell—it’s the little things that make me smile. I’m a friendly fella who gets along great with all the foster dogs in my home, and I’ve been told I’m a very good eater (I won’t argue with that!). While I do enjoy a little quiet time to myself now and then, I never stay away for long—I always come back looking for love and affection. I came into rescue heartworm positive, but I’ve worked hard, healed up, and I’m now healthy, ready, and more than willing to start my next chapter. I may be a senior, but I still have so much love to give. Will you give me the chance at the new life I’ve been waiting for?   **Adoption fee for Radar:  $200 includes neuter and all up to date vetting**Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2026, 12:11 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dane is a 3 year old boy who is equal parts sweetheart, goofball, and couch-snuggle expert. He adores walks, especially “sniffy walks”, and has the happiest demeanor that makes every day brighter. The world can still be a little scary for Dane. Traffic worries him and the stairs to the lower level are currently his personal Mount Everest, but with patience and encouragement he’s learning to be brave. At home, Dane is the perfect mix of playful and laid back. He loves playing with other dogs but is just as happy entertaining himself or invading your personal space on the couch. He’s crate trained and does well with a good chew, though he may sound a little growly in his crate toward unfamiliar people. Once he’s out, he’s friendly, curious, and often seeks affection from visitors. Dane is looking for a patient, loving home that will embrace his quirks and help build his confidence. In return, he promises endless smiles, loyal companionship, and lots of snuggles.  Dane would do best in a home with Doberman/breed experience and a fenced in yard. Adoption Fee for Dane:  $100.00 includes spay/neuter,  micro-chipping and all up to date vetting     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 1, 2026, 12:05 am

Story
Blackie is five months old and has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. It’s similar to cerebral palsy in humans. She has trouble walking and needs extra care. She is the most loving dog I have ever met. She is so happy. All she wants to do is love and play. I am currently fostering her and would love to keep her, but I am older and don’t have the energy that she needs to have an exceptionally happy life. I am looking for someone with a huge heart who can give her everything she needs.

Story
Name: Selena Possible Breed: Doberman / Kelpie Mix DOB: 5/18/24 Gender: Female Selena is a gentle, affectionate young girl who has truly blossomed in foster care. Rescued from a dangerous situation, she has grown into a loving, expressive, and personality-filled companion who is ready for her forever home. She is potty trained and crate trained, and she genuinely enjoys her kennel as a cozy, safe retreat. While she still appreciates her quiet crate time, she has also discovered the joy of couch lounging — sometimes even perched along the back of the couch “kitty style” to supervise the room. Selena is dog friendly and cat friendly — in fact, she is completely obsessed with Pretzel, her foster’s cat. They cuddle, they play, and they are often found relaxing together. (Check out the picture of them playing together!) She would do beautifully in a home with other respectful pets. Over the past month, Selena has truly found her voice. This once-quiet girl now happily shares her opinions and occasionally “gossips” with the neighbor dogs. She has a playful, expressive personality that continues to unfold as she gains confidence. She loves toys, especially her benebones and a beloved stuffed cactus. Whether she’s zooming around the yard, playing with her furry friends, or entertaining herself, she balances independence with affection. And when she’s feeling extra sweet, she’ll stop by for gentle hand kisses. Selena would thrive in a calmer home environment and would do best with no young children, or children over the age of 12 (Since she hasn’t been around kids). A secure privacy fence is recommended for her speedy zoomies and playful energy. She may need a little time to adjust to a new home, but once she feels safe, her loyal and loving nature shines brightly. Selena is seeking a home where she can feel secure, cherished, and understood — a family willing to give her the patience and kindness she deserves. In return, she will offer devotion, warmth, and a whole lot of personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will bring both love and a little sass to your home, Selena may be your girl. If you are interested in meeting Selena, please visit https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ to fill out an application.
