Story
Meet Dougie! Could you be his happy ending? He once had a loving home, but everything changed when his dad passed away. His mom struggled to manage on her own. Someone took him in to help, but unfortunately, his mom moved away and never returned for him. When he arrived at the rescue, he had lick granulomas on both front legs, some minor wounds on his ears, and the beginnings of happy tail. His tail is a force to be reckoned with. It is healing well, and he is continuing to gain weight. Despite these challenges, he has an incredible zest for life, adores people, and gets along well with kids, cats & dogs! Dougie is such a sweet & happy boy! He is a professional napper & certified couch potato. He's smart and likes to please. He knows basic commands like sit & shake. He likes to go on walks and is doing well with leash training. He's had no accidents at his foster's home. He will hang out in his crate quietly and not whine. Dougie has tested positive for heartworms and has started his pre-treatment. The rescue will cover his injection treatment at our clinic. Dates will be provided to his family.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Ginger and I am a very affectionate, athletic, friendly, curious, funny, and playful girl. You can also call me a cutie! I am a happy girl who is full of life and I would love to find a home where we can have lots of fun times together. I am an absolute sweetheart and I can promise I will fill your life with joy. I may be 5 years old now, but I am still a puppy at heart and I have lots of love and energy to give. I love to play and go on walks. I'm also really curious and love to explore, but I'm always by your side. I would love to be the center of attention in my new home. Just like soaking up all of the attention and pampering. If you're looking for a fun, loving, and loyal companion, I'm the girl for you! I can't wait to meet you and I hope you can give me a loving home. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Story
Olivia is a friendly and affectionate dog with lots of love to give! This happy and funny girl is a mix of all the best traits: playful and sweet, smart and gentle. Olivia is a good listener and an even better snuggler. She's a 2-year-old pup who is spayed, fully vaccinated, and house-trained. Her previous owner couldn't keep her after a situation so she came into the shelter February 26, 2025, but that just means there's room in your heart and your home for this lovable pup! She may be a little timid at first, but give her time to warm up and you'll see the wonderful dog she is. She loves people and is very treat-motivated - all you have to do is say the word and she'll be your new best friend! Olivia is a love bug with people and we just know you'll fall in love with her at first sight. Stop by for a visit with Olivia today and adopt her into your heart and home.
