When I arrived I was heartworm positive, but Alex's House treated me and now I'm heartworm free.These are photos of me celebrating various holidays in January at Alex's House. Dog Friendly: No Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, Older Children Uma is a sassy, fun and loyal girl. Because of her unknown past, we can only assume she has had some sort of abuse which is why she does not like or will tolerate being restrained, hugged or forced in any way. Therefore she will need a special family and handler who can be patient and calm, yet a strong leader. They will need time to get to know that fine line of too much or not enough when it comes to her training and corrections. She is very food driven therefore training is fun because she learns quickly. Once she trusts you, she will give you kisses, lay against you, and become very playful. She can get overstimulated with playtime, but she is easily calmed with treats and by doing commands. Uma will need a home with older kids, or no kids, and she needs special instruction and meds for any vet visits.

I'm Titus- a big, loveable, gentle giant. I love to go for walks and just be near my person. I know sit, shake, lay down, and I take treats gently, even though I really, really like them. I am good with young and old alike, and really gentle. I am a big boy, so I'll need some room, but besides that I don't require a lot: I just want to be near my people! I was with my adoptive family for seven years; unfortunately, my adopters had children who were allergic to me. Other doggies? Love them. Kitty cats? Not so much! I'm potty-trained, crate-trained and can't wait to find my true furever person. To meet me, go to waalrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.
