Poor Squish was adopted from us as a puppy and returned 7 years latter due to a divorce. Squish is sad and confused over the loss of his family, and is desperately looking for a soft space to land. squish has lived with other dogs and children. He is low energy, and content to nap the day away. Squishy is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and needs an amazing home! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to chose from at the shelter as well. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Cherokee is a handsome 2 year old pup who who may start off a bit on the reserved side, understandably so as the shelter can be a bit overwhelming all at once, so he needs someone who is willing to give him plenty of patience and understanding as he comes out of his shell. This big ol boy has a soft spot for treats and they act as a great ice breaker when helping him feel comfortable enough to let his gaurd down! Once he has gotten past initial introductions he is known for being oh so sweet and accepting of gentle pets. Despite his size this guy has been a bit shy when it comes to play groups so he would like to meet any future canine siblings before heading home.He is neutered, micro-chipped as well as up to date on vaccines.Come meet Cherokee at KC Pet Project! He is more than ready to get back out of the hectic shelter and into a loving environment where he can be spoiled the way we know he deserves!

He is just over 12 weeks old, so he's still learning new things everyday. He loves other dogs and does fine with cats also.
