Louie was brought to us as an owner surrender when his owner's health sadly declined and no longer had time to care for him. Louie came from a family with children, other dogs, and cats. He does well with respectful, older children. Louie can be a little intimidating at first with his loud barks and size. He is just nervous and needs someone to give him the time and patience he deserves. Jack was surrendered to the shelter after being left at a farm in Iberia. He is a friendly, playful guy, but just couldn't keep himself from chasing the neighbor's cattle! He is happy and outgoing and plays with other dogs but does play hard so he will need a friend that matches up with his style. He did attend Puppies for Parole at Jeff City Correctional Center. They reported that while he was a little fearful at first, he got more comfortable with his surroundings as time went on, so patience and consistency will be your best route with this dog. After being there for 10 weeks, they say he is a loving dog and will bond with you if you give him a little time and affection. Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 71.8 Age: 2yrs 10mths 4wks
