Story
Betty Boop was so named because her sweet round face and big eyes reminds us of that old time cartoon character! She is so sweet and playful. She is quite shy of people, but can warm up with lots of dedicated time and attention. With the right person, she is capable of becoming a loving companion. She gets along with the large dog in her foster home and absolutely adores the other cats. She prefers the companionship of other cats, so some time in isolation with dedicated socialization efforts may be needed to fully develop a human bond. Lots of treats and interactive play are the keys to her heart. Rescued from dreadful conditions and near starvation she is bouncing back beautifully. She has the sweetest disposition. Still a little timid around unexpected noises and activity. But she is making great progress.Available for adoption from Kitty Kat Haven and RescueHoover, AL 35226205-302-8883

Story
Elana is an absolutely beautiful floof. She is very timid with new situations and people but tends to warm up after a day or two. Once she opens up, she is very playful and loves to cuddle in your lap for pets. She seems to be the calmest of her two sisters, Caroline and Bonnie. She will run up and check out the other cats in her foster home and has been friendly towards them. She has never been around dogs. As a kitten, Elana has tested positive for FIV. Kittens who test positive at this age are often testing positive because of antibodies they receive from their mother. As they age, these antibodies go away. By the time they are 5 to 6 months old, they test negative which means they never had FIV to begin with. The adoption fee will include the cost of a retest when she is 5 to 6 months of age. Even if she were to remain positive, FIV is not something to be afraid of. FIV+ cats can easily live with FIV negative cats. They live long healthy lives. You can read more about the truth of FIV in this article. https://www.austinpetsalive.org/blog/myths-and-truths-about-fivAvailable for adoption from Kitty Kat Haven and RescueHoover, AL 35226205-302-8883
