Churchill came from a litter of four. Tragically, two of his littermates tested positive for panleukopenia—also known as feline parvovirus—and sadly did not survive. This devastating virus attacks rapidly dividing cells in the body, particularly in the bone marrow, intestines, and lymph nodes, leaving kittens extremely vulnerable and often unable to fight it off. Through it all, Churchill amazed everyone. He remained completely asymptomatic throughout his entire quarantine, never showing signs of illness, and successfully completed his isolation period.
