Rosie experienced trauma in the first three years of her life and that's left her feeling cautious and shy. When she feels safe, you couldn't ask for a sweeter, more affectionate girl. Rosie needs to be the only animal in the household. She would do wonderfully in a quieter environment where she can feel safe and cherished—whether that’s with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children who understand her need for calm. Theo and Jasmine's Story These cats are being cared for in a foster home until they find their forever home! Fill out the adoption application if interested in meeting them. https://mynewcat.org/adopt-a-cat/adoption-application/ Update: Jasmine had bladder stones so both cats are now eating Hills CD prescription food. She will need to stay on this food for life. This is Theo and Jasmine, who also goes by Jazzy. They are a bonded pair that need to be in a home together. Theo is ~11 years old and Jazzy is ~9years old. Jazzy and Theo's elderly parents unfortunately passed away. They initially spent about 3 months in their house alone with food being dropped off for them about once a week. We found out about them and they entered a foster home where they're able to get regular attention and be in a house with people while we search for their forever home. Theo is a big boy domestic shorthair who is a bit more on the shy side and takes a couple days to warm up, but once he does, he is very loving. He's a gentle giant and food is the way to his heart! Jasmine is more of a social butterfly and warms up pretty quickly. She loves to play, especially with stick toys, and enjoys being brushed. Jazzy is a domestic longhair, so she will require regular brushing and possibly an occasional grooming to keep matting out of her beautiful fur. With proper introduction, I think they would be fine with other cats and low energy dogs. They would be best suited in a home with older children or only adults.
