Story
Meet Daisy Daisy is a gorgeous 1.5‑year‑old orange tabby with soft medium‑to‑long fur and a sweet, affectionate personality. She enjoys the company of other cats and loves attention, though she prefers keeping all four paws on the ground — being carried isn’t her thing. Her favorite place to relax is the tallest perch she can find, where she can watch everything happening around her. Daisy also enjoys playtime and will happily chase toys when she’s in the mood. She’ll thrive in a home that appreciates an affectionate cat who likes her independence and loves a good high‑rise nap spot. #AdoptDaisy #OrangeTabby #RescueCat #CatAdoption #AnimalRescueOfCarroll #AdoptDontShop #FosterCats #CatLife #IowaCats #TallPerchQueen

Story
Jelly (white domestic longhair with black spotting) and Indie (white domestic shorthair with grey spotting) are a bonded pair seeking a home together. Both cats are highly affectionate and enjoy interacting with their caregivers. Jelly has a calm, easygoing temperament and prefers relaxed companionship. He’s happiest snuggled on a couch or bed and loves gentle affection. His soft long coat and striking black markings make him as beautiful as he is sweet. Indie is more attention‑driven and enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing. He’s vocal, social, and known for hopping onto your shoulders or back during litter box cleaning. Indie also appreciates elevated spaces where he can observe household activity, though he’s equally content lounging wherever a comfy spot is available. Both boys are friendly, talkative, and people‑focused. They would do well in a home looking for a pair of affectionate, engaging companions with complementary personalities. #adoptme #bondedpair #catadoption #rescuesaveslives #whitecats #domesticshorthair #domesticlonghair #snugglycat #attentionseeker #shouldercat #catsofiowa #iowarescue #adoptdontshop

Story
Meet Charlie — An Intelligent Cat Who Needs a Patient, Experienced Home Charlie is a 5½yearold neutered male cat (born 2020), declawed in the front, with a big personality and a sensitive inner world. He’s been loved deeply, but he’s struggling in his current environment and needs a home that can give him the time, structure, and emotional support he deserves. Charlie’s Personality & Habits Litter Trained — Reliable with his box. Dog Friendly — He loves dogs, plays with them, and even sleeps with them. Prefers Animal Companions — He does best when another dog or cat is around. Door Dasher — He may bolt if a door is open. Declawed — Front paws only. Has AnxietyDriven Behaviors — Needs someone that will give him space and allow him to adjust and come to you when comfortable.   Charlie will do best in a home with: A patient, experienced cat owner Someone home often who can give him attention and structure Another friendly dog or cat to keep him company A calm, predictable environment Time to decompress and rebuild trust at his own pace He is not a beginnerfriendly cat, but in the right hands, he has the potential to settle and feel safe again. The suggested adoption donation for Charlie is $85, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Rosemary is a long-haired black beauty with a gentle soul and a story worth telling. Rescued from an outdoor colony where life was tough, she has since discovered what it feels like to be safe, loved, and spoiled with treats — and she is absolutely thriving. She is still finding her footing with indoor life and can startle at sudden noises, but don't let that fool you. Earn her trust (Churu squeeze-up treats are a great place to start), and you'll have a devoted companion who lives for butt scritches and cheek pets. Patience is all she asks for, and she gives back tenfold. You may notice Rosemary is sporting a sleeker look than her name suggests right now. Her gorgeous long fur was badly matted when she arrived, so she needed a full shave to get her comfortable. She's a little self-conscious about the temporary trim, but her fluffy coat is on its way back, and she's eager to grow it out in a warm home where she belongs. Rosemary would do best in a calm, quiet household. Setting her up in a cozy starter space, like a spare room or a bathroom, will help her settle in on her own terms without feeling overwhelmed. Once she feels secure, her true personality shines: sweet, affectionate, and endlessly grateful for a soft place to land. If you're looking for a gentle girl who will blossom with a little love and time, Rosemary is ready to be your heart cat. Rosemary is FIV positive, but that should not affect her ability to live in a home with other cats as long as introductions are slow.  To learn more about FIV, please read: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-infection All Stray to Spay cats & kittens are:  Fully vaccinated, Spayed/neutered, Dewormed, Triple tested (FeLV, FIV, Heartworm). Adoption includes an application, vet/reference check & virtual home visit. All of our cats are fostered indoors in loving Omaha-area homes until they find their forever family!   ##2721072##
