Story
Meet Mylar! Our hearts truly sing when we talk about this boy. He is over-the-top affectionate. Mylar is extremely friendly, and he loves everyone he meets. Mylar gets along with everyone - humans and kitties and even cat-friendly dogs. His sweet disposition is out-of-this-world. Mylar is a friendly, playful little guy. He is super playful - loves to wrestle with his brother, Milton, and the other kitties in his foster home. He LOVES to play, so a playful/friendly buddy in his new home will be required. Mylar also really loves his brother, Milton, so if you are looking to adopt 2 kitties, Mylar would thrive with his brother being his forever buddy. Milton and Mylar are true best friends. They are always together playing and cuddling.Mylar is the ultimate cuddler. He can't get close enough to his human for all the snuggles. He loves to cuddle with you while watching TV. He will curl up right under your chin at night for all the bedtime cuddles. He is super affectionate and even puts his adorable little paw on your face for those extra hugs he likes to give. Mylar's litter of kittens was extremely sick as tiny young babies, and it has been determined that little Mylar has chronic rhinitis. Chronic rhinitis in cats is unfortunately fairly common. Many young kittens are exposed to respiratory infections at a very young age that damage the structures in their nasal passes. Unfortunately, the damage cannot be corrected. Because of the scarring caused, as Mylar gets older, he will have a tendency to get nasal infections, sometimes watery eyes, and often noisy breathing. He occasionally may need to go on antibiotics, but often using nasal saline sprays, a humidifier, and increasing his water intake can make a big difference. These are snuffler kitties, and they need love too! While they may have periodic flare-ups, they are NOT contagious to other cats. Mylar is in a foster home with 6 other kitties, and they all play and share all their toys and food like any other kitties would. Mylar has no hold-ups because of his chronic rhinitis. He has so much energy just like any other kitten. He plays and enjoys life just like the rest of them. Mylar is 100% litter box trained and minds all his kitty manners. If you are looking for an affectionate, friendly, playful, and sweet kitty, this little boy will melt your heart. He might just be your perfect match. Story
My name is Jeruska. I am a gorgeous, long-haired kitty. Unfortunately, my previous owner became homeless, so my brother and I lived outside for a while. Because of this, I can be really shy of new people. However, once I feel comfortable, I am an absolute sweetheart. I have a loud purr and will come to my foster parents for pets and chin scratches (my favorite!) I am looking for a calmer home that is willing to be patient with me while I acclimate to a new environment. I probably would do best in a home without small children. I like calm dogs and other cats, but am not a huge fan of energetic dogs or puppies. I have the softest long grey and white hair and pretty green eyes. I hope to find my forever home soon! Story
Good things come in large packages, too! Shiloh is a big, fluffy boy that hasn't been very lucky. Left to fend for himself (declawed) outside and then rescued from a hoarding situation, he's now looking for a quiet home where he can be spoiled and will immediately begin to purr when you pet him.Shiloh is a timid kitty, a gentle giant that lacks confidence and tends to hide when meeting new people. Even so, he's incredibly sweet and just needs time to get to know you. He is not a lap cat, but as he becomes more comfortable, he will seek you out for his much-loved chin scratches and to curl up next to you for a nap. He's extremely easy to handle and pick up, although he prefers his feet on the ground. He likes to spend his day napping or watching the world out the window. He enjoys batting around his favorite toy mice, chasing the laser, or playing with wands. And once he's confident in his new home, expect to wake up with one of his toys next to you. Shiloh has food allergies and also had bladder surgery to remove kidney stones. Both are easily managed with a prescription diet that he will need to remain on for the rest of his life to minimize the risk of recurrence. Shiloh gets along with other cats as long as they are easy-going, since he is submissive and easily bullied. Being front declawed, it's important any other cat in the home be friendly and calm. However, he would be just as happy as the only furry family member since he usually does his own thing…mainly napping and waiting for you to pet him. He should not be in a home with dogs. Shiloh’s ideal home is a quiet one to match his personality and with someone willing to give him time to adjust. So if you're looking to add a large, fluffy, and sweet couch potato to your family, Shiloh is your guy!For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/
