Story
Although I like my own space, I can be an attention hog and a chatterbox all in one. I'm not your typical lap cat. I live up to my name. I'm okay with other cats i guess, but I like all of the attention to be on me. Dogs are scary and I do not like them at all. please keep your dog away from me.Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home. We are located at:1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd Danielsville, GA 30633 706-795-2868NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption. If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

Story
Merlin is shy but, friendly. Loves to be brushed. He has all his shots and is on Revolution Plus Flea medicine. He has tested positive for FIV. He is about 2 years old. He needs to be an inside cat and is adjusting to that now. He uses the litter box. I can't keep him as I have 6 inside cats and 1 indoor/outdoor one. He was trying to be friends with her (before he was neutered) but she doesn't like him. I'm looking for someone who can care for FIV+ cat. Vet references required.
