To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Joey is 2.5 years old with a goofy personality and is overall a good cat. Loves playing and snuggling with other cats. Indifferent towards dogs. While he loves the company of other cats, he is relatively indifferent towards humans. There have been a few humans he's decided he’s liked enough to sit near or rub up against on his own terms but he pretty much prefers to keep to himself or hang out with his kitty friends. While he doesn't mind pets here and there, he'll walk away relatively fast and just isn't driven by human affection. Definitely not a snuggler but maybe he would be more open to affection with a different person. I have 2 other cats who love to snuggle with me but he has never bonded with me for some reason. He has had some dental issues and most of his teeth have had to be pulled but he still enjoys and eats hard food without issue. Other than that, he’s completely healthy. He will also allow you to trim his nails with very little squirming and will never claw or bite you
