Story
Hey there, fabulous feline aficionados! I'm Sender, your friendly neighborhood lounging lady, here to bring a touch of sweetness and a whole lot of purr-sonality into your life! Let's talk about my purr-sonality – I'm as sweet as a slice of pie and as laid-back as a lazy Sunday afternoon. While I may not be the quintessential lap cat, I'm all about soaking up those pets and chin scratches like a catnip aficionado at a scratcher convention! Now, let's address the playtime situation – you won't catch me chasing after toys like a wild cat on the prowl. No sir, I prefer to take a more refined approach to entertainment. Give me a comfy cat tree or the back of the couch, and I'll be in kitty paradise faster than you can say "purr-fect perch!" Oh, and did I mention my love for other cats? Yep, I'm a social butterfly of the feline world, ready to cozy up to any kitty companion who crosses my path. Together, we'll rule the roost with our charm and grace, one lounge session at a time! So, if you're in need of a furry friend who's as sweet as sugar and as chill as a cucumber, look no further. Swing by for a visit, and let's make some memories together. After all, life's too short to miss out on the joy of Sender-approved snuggles! Story
Blanco is solid white and gorgeous! He is very nervous around new people, but comes around slowly. His favorite time for petting and holding is feeding time. He's a lounger and loves sitting in the window watching birds and squirrels and wishing he was out chasing them. He is currently in a home with multiple foster cats, but has not been around dogs before. He doesn't seem skittish around new cats, so it's likely he'd get along with a dog as well given time and given the dog is okay with cats. If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application.  It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to WindyRidgeRescue@gmail.com  as a scanned document or as photos OR can be completed entirely online. Both links are in the header of our website.   Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption. A limited number of cats are showcased at Peetco in Sumter, SC weekly.  &#226&#128&#139We do not have set adoption fees for dogs, but hope adopters will donate generously so we can rescue more. The medical care for every dog can easily exceed the adoption donation.  Average adoption fees for dogs in the area range from $175 up to $450. Your generous adoption donations help us continue our programs of providing quality food and medical care to those who pass through our fosters.  We ask for a minimum adoption donation of $70 for cats who are not yet altered and $100 for cats who are already spayed or neutered, regardless of age.  Please bring your own carrier for the ride home!  Each cat is up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and microchipped.  Larger donations are always welcome so we can rescue more.  Medical care for each cat easily exceeds the minimum donation.   &#226&#128&#139As with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more and funds the only Trap Neuter Return Program in the county.  It's like tossing $100 bills in the woods when we trap a cat, vaccinate and spay or neuter that cat and then return them to the colony. Young kittens are tamed and available for adoption. We are alone doing this in our area. Your increased donation at the time of adoption can help us cover costs for the cat becoming part of your family as well as a feral to prevent more feral litters.  &#226&#128&#139Adopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside.  &#226&#128&#139If you can't adopt or foster, than please consider donating.  April 16, 2024, 11:16 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Main Email CARE (caretoadopt@gmail.com), (803) 622-9813 for more information about this pet. The most accurate and up to date information about adoptable pets is on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. Patchouli was a community cat who was taken in when she had her babies on the front porch. Her kittens have all found their forever homes and now its her turn. She took awhile to warm up to her foster mom but after making a feline friend she realized humans are cool too. She is now a lap kitty who loves rubs, even a good belly rub. She can still be skiddish especially for new things but gets used to things faster each time. She could still use a patient person who's willing to let her be her odd ball self until she's ready to shown her cuddly side. She would like a feline companion but will be a little picky on who she likes. ** Adopters should be prepared to start this kitty off in a small room for 30 days, then gradually let her get accustomed to the rest of the home. She should not have access to an exterior door until she's bonded with her humans and knows where she lives. ***   Adoption Fee: $40 - all basic vetting done! If not already on caretoadopt.org, please visit www.caretoadopt.org to view the complete pet profile. Applications to adopt are found on this website as well. To speed up the adoption process, completed applications may be emailed to caretoadopt@gmail.com. *** Breeds are our best guess based on experience and research. *** All cats receive a distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, microchip, dewormer, FELV/FIV combo test, and are spayed/neutered through CARE. Story
Bella is a domestic long haired cat. She is quite the shy one, but will play as soon as she's comfortable with you. She wants affection, she will sit on you, lay with you or give you a little head bump. I think she would do best with an experienced cat owner and possibly among other cats her age so she can have someone to play with.

Story
Halina born around 4/15/23 is a little doll faced kitty.  She is gentle, calm and affectionate with a quiet meow.  Halina is good with everyone and I'm sure with proper introduction will get along with a well mannered dog. What a pretty girl! Excuse my first pictures.  I was in a bit of a state when I found this Rescue but my beauty shines through. Come and meet her at our Petsmart Harbison adoptions from 12-4 on Saturdays. Story
Roshi is about 4 years old. He was a COVID kitty found in the trash can at a gas station in 2020. I took him in and he got along well with my other cat. He can be a little skittish around dogs but other wise gets along well with other animals. He is a big fur ball that enjoys napping on his back feet in the air! He enjoys cuddles and handles bath time well. He isn’t that great at bathing himself due to his large size. Roshi is a great cat and loves to chase lights. He also Loves being brushed.
