Story
All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   This is Zeppelin!  Zeppelin is a fluffy love bug with a loud rattling purr and an adorable chirping meow.  He loves people but he wasn't sure how he felt about pets at first, he would give a gentle bite to let us know when he was done.. After a few weeks, he has completely transformed into a total lap cat who LOVES being petted and doesn't bite at all! He has learned to trust humans and he likes everyone he meets, often getting up on his hind legs to greet new people. Zeppelin is inquisitive, friendly, and playful, he does great with other cats and loves tussling with his foster brother before settling down for a snooze.  If interested in adopting this rockin’ cat, apply online at  ahhumanesociety.org  or email Halee at  halee@ahhumanesociety.org  with any questions! Story
Meet Lilly, a beautiful long-haired brown and white cat with adorable white paws and chin. Born in April 2014, Lilly has a charming personality that suggests she was once a super sweet and spoiled feline. Unfortunately, her previous owner passed away, and Lilly is now adjusting to the shelter environment.Lilly is generally friendly with people, but there may be instances of swatting if she is touched in a way she doesn't appreciate. Given her preferences, we recommend a home without other cats, small kids, or dogs. Despite her initial hesitations, Lilly has the potential to become a wonderful companion for someone who understands and respects her boundaries. She is spayed and current on vaccines; also tested negative for Feline Leukemia, FIV and Heartworm disease. Currently being treated for liver disease.

Story
Hi there, I'm Lily Bear! I'm a beautiful 3-year-old black cat with a soft coat, looking for my forever home.I'm happiest with just one other feline friend. In my previous home with many cats, I got so nervous that I hid. But when I have my own space, I’m a normal, happy cat! I prefer peace and quiet and haven't been around dogs or children. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle companion who needs a calm environment, I'm your girl. I can't wait to find a cozy spot in your home and your heart!

Story
Blossom cane to the rescue in the winter of 19. She had been abandoned and a couple tried to take her in but the man is allergic and she was unable to stay there so we were called to bring her here. She is sweet and loves belly rubs but her feet are very painful from being declawed so she cries if you touch her feet but does not bite
