Story
Angel is a very sweet, calm 6-year-old male longhaired beauty with a soft fur. Small for his age, his heart is big and he loves gentle petting. He is looking for the person whose heart he can warm and live in a safe, comfortable loving forever home. He was pulled by a shelter from a less desirable home of many cats with little good food, and treated to bring him back to better health, but being over capacity, they could not keep him. His first adopter wasn't familiar with older cats that needed needed TLC, a good diet, and the cost of a dental cleaning. His new foster who picked him up from the vet, has covered the dental cleaning and all 3 vaccines, run an extra Elisa blood test to ensure he is FeLV / FIV negative, and seen that he has now regained his health, with regular good diet. He had lost most teeth other than the big 4 canines before, but loves to eat wet food (pate best) and even nibbles down some kibble. His fur is shining again, and he loves rubbing gently on your hand, and responds well to petting. He is getting along fine with other adult cats and can handle rambunctious kittens jumping around him on a cat tree - cool as a cucumber. In fairness, he has a sensitive bowel, and it is best to maintain a strict feeding time and amount of wet and dry to keep it calm, with periodic probiotics. He regularly uses the litter box, but does have one unsettling habit, perhaps from his original home - to sometimes poop in a bathtub (not elsewhere beyond the litter box and bathtub). This is solved by keeping 1/2 inch of water in the tub. He handles an occasional bath well, if needed - scruff and dunk the back end or back paws in a mopping bucket of warm water, as it is harder for him to groom there. We haven't seen issues on a carpet but suggest a home with tile or solid floors. To fill out our brief, no-obligation application, go to www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PALC/Cat
