A family member of ours has moved from Florida to the Montgomery, TX area, and he has brought his cat with him, but he is unable to keep the cat because the place he moved into has a "no pet" policy, and his wife does not want pets. My immediate family and I have agreed to keep the cat until we can find a good home for her. Her name is Oreo, and in my first meeting with her, she lunged at me and swatted me. She is a declawed cat, and has never been with humans other than her original owner. She was thrust into a new situation and doesn't know what is going on. She needs a patient, experienced pet owner to take her in and let her get used to her new home in her own time. She doesn't like other cats or dogs, both of which I have, which makes things a little difficult for me in keeping her calm. I want her to go to a nice home, where she'll be loved, and where she won't be given back just because she isn't automatically adjusted to the new place the minute she walks in.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi!  My name is Cher and I was rescue as a kitten from behind the HEB Grocery Store.   I was a little older when I was caught and even with lots and lots of handling and love, I am still scared of new faces.  Once I get to know you, I will come up to you for petting and I enjoy being brushed and I will roll over on my back for you to brush my stomach (no, it's not a trick, I will not attack your arm).  I will even come sleep next to you at night but I do not like being picked up and will mostly just run from you.  I get along great with other cats.  I need a quiet home where I can roam and do my own thing.  I may be a bit of a scaredy cat but I know there is a family out there somewhere who will give me a chance.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 20, 2024, 2:06 pm
