Story
She is a four-year-old, long-haired black and white cat with almost bluish eyes. She is lovely and affectionate and gets along well with other cats. We found her living under the trailer office in a used car lot, where she was starving to death. We started feeding her daily, and she has regained some weight and is now healthy. Story
Mya (55459715) is a beautiful, silky soft, blue, senior lady who is looking for that special person with a comfy lap. Said lap should be available on demand at least 2-3 times a day for as long as an hour as desired. You can watch TV or be on your phone, just make sure your lap is ready and perhaps one hand for pets and brushes.Mya is calm and even-tempered but can also be timid. She is always friendly and gentle and tries her best to remain non confrontational. Because of her timidity, she would do best in an adult-only, dog-free home. She has been around other cats but she chooses not to actively seek them out or interact with them beyond a few blinky kisses. If they push it, she will give a gentle hiss and return to her safe space and will not return to the scene. She is not afraid of other cats and would probably be OK with one other cat that was respectful of her-no outgoing/friendly cats-a shy, submissive, or very low activity cat would work.Besides sitting in your lap, her favorite things to do are to lounge on the window sill watching birds, squirrels, and butterflies in the yard. She will occasionally play with you with a wand toy or laser pointer. And she plays independently with balls and soft catnip toys when no one is watching. Her favorite time to play is after a meal. For the past 5 weeks, Mya has been in the care of foster as she recently had surgery to remove bladder stones. Bladder stones are solid waste particles that form in a cat's urine. Waste materials can be concentrated inside of the bladder, resulting in stones or crystals. This is especially common if a cat is dehydrated/eating primarily dry food/stressed. Mya has made a great recovery and is quite the healthy girl now. She will need to be on a urinary diet to keep her healthy. Non-prescription Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health (canned and dry) is what she is now eating. She also prefers to drink out of a bubbler fountain which has been great to keep her hydrated and her urinary tract healthy.Mya is currently at her foster's but she is available for adoption. If you would like more information about this sweet girl and/or interested in meeting her, please email Marion marion@deliriumservers.com Mya is a senior cat and if you are a Senior (60 yo+) you qualify for our Seniors for Seniors Program discount (fee waived).
