Story
Lemon Pepper is a Barn Cat! We are looking for cat lovers who have a barn or other secure outdoor structure and are interested in adopting cats that are not suitable for life inside of a house or are unhappy living inside. Cat temperaments range from feral to friendly. This program is designed to find homes for cats that have traditionally been deemed un-adoptable through normal shelter adoption procedures. These cats are healthy, sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and in need of a warm and secure home, such as a barn, stable, garage, or warehouse. These are working cats; former street cats that are used to outdoor life and prefer minimal to no human contact. They will happily tend to any mouse, mole, chipmunk, or vermin problems for the low cost of a bowl of cat food and water set out daily, as needed veterinary care, and shelter in a garage or barn. Because we spay/neuter these cats before they leave ECCHA, adopters don`t have to worry about endless litters of kittens! Adopt, Foster, Educate, Advocate!

Story
Meet Alaska! Alaska came to CCHS with about 15 other cats as owners surrenders from a pretty out of hand hoarding situation. This pretty girl is a year old and weighs 7.2# currently. Alaska is a bit of a shy girl. She's been a little overwhelmed by all the changes she's been through, but she is getting braver all the time. She is staying in the office at the Shelter, where she can watch all of the activity and get more used to being around people. She is so very pretty with her fluffy brown Tabby coat. She is just hoping to find somebody with enough love and patience to give her another chance at a happy future. Apply for Alaska today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $40. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All cats and kittens have been vaccinated for Distemper, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will also be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for FeLV/FIV. Cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption.CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home.
