Story
Meet Alana!Alana is a beautiful grey and white kitten that came into our care recently, and is now looking for a new home. Like most kittens she enjoys exploring, playing with toys, and playing with other kittens. She can be a bit shy with people at first, but if you are patient with her and give her time to warm up to you she will accept attention and cuddles. Her ideal home would be a quieter home with another cat that is confident, and can take her under their wing to show Alana how to be a cat. Young kids may be too much for her at this time, but older kids or teenagers that will give Alana time to adjust to a new home could be a good fit as well. Kitten adoption fees are $125. This adoption fee covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and spay costs are covered by the shelter at 4 - 6 months of age.If you are interested in adopting Alana please fill out an application online by going to this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfPov6JGu-kbLwlMN0d3kIDewVrJ23H2D41HH0Ud0-bJEs-dg/viewform

Story
Izzy is 1 year old and has such a unique face. She is a sweet girl who loves people and prefers to be wherever you are. Toys are her favorite after cuddling with staff! Izzy is spayed, current on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. Izzy, while beautiful in all ways, does require a free feeding schedule and canned food with the dry to keep her from having stomach issues. She hopes this doesn’t deter a loving adopter from choosing her. Her spirit is light and happy, and she has rolled with all the changes that she has seen in her first full year of life! “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy, and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday)”.

Story
Pumpkin is special needs, and looking for a home to live out her forever days. She is on special diet food. Pumpkin is an older smaller girl who is ready to have a home where she feels safe and loved. Pumpkin found herself here at DHS when a local shelter was over capacity and needed a safe place for Pumpkin to go. She adores humans but doesn't like other kitties here at the shelter, this may change in a home where she is not as stressed and given time to acclimate and have slow greets.Pumpkin likes her solitude and would do well in a home where she can come for affection, but otherwise be left alone to do her cat-like things.“I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home.
