Story
Hi! My foster family calls me Twin. I'm not really sure why, I don't look like anyone else in my family! But that's what I answer to! Especially when my foster mom calls me because it means I'm probably going to get something yummy in my crate. I like my crate okay, I don't complain when I'm there, but I always prefer to be with my people. I like to snuggle up close to my humans, preferably under a blanket. I like to play with the other dogs in my foster home! Some of them have a lot more energy than I do, so I usually play for a little while then search out a lap! There are cats too, but they smell weird. I leave them alone except to say, "Hey! " every once in a while. I'm learning about something they call "potty outside". I've got to say that I'm not a huge fan of going out in the cold every time nature calls, but it seems to make the humans happy so I'm trying my best. I really love people so much, and I like having another dog around to play with, but I could also get used to being an only dog who gets all of the pets and treats! I have all of my shots, and recently had a bit of surgery on my boy parts. I am also microchipped and negative for heartworms! I'm ready to come home with you and be your best friend!

Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I love my stuffy toys and dog friends!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: -I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies, as I need a confident dog that enjoys hanging out over playtime. Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days so we can meet!- I must go to a home that already has another dog so they can show me the ropes.- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises.- A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks.-For my safety, I must to go home in an airline carrier for the car ride home. I also must go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell the collars in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
