Story
Meet Chicken, a stunning 2-4-year-old Dutch Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws! Despite a rough start in life, this resilient boy has blossomed into a loving, intelligent, and energetic companion. Chicken thrives on adventure—whether it’s hiking trails or playing with his furry foster siblings (he currently lives with three dogs). He’s housetrained, good with kids, and has done daycare with training and socialization, so he knows his manners and some commands. His favorite things? Belly rubs, learning new tricks, and burning off energy in the great outdoors. If you're looking for an affectionate, trainable, and active best friend, Chicken is ready to join your pack! 🐾💙

Story
Chicken is a 1-year-old, 55-pound Dutch Shepherd with a heart as big as his name is quirky! This handsome boy had a rough start in life, but he’s now thriving in a loving foster home alongside multiple canine companions. His foster family says he’s a real sweetheart and a true people-pleaser who would do best in a forever home with one other dog to share his adventures with.Chicken is incredibly smart and highly food-motivated, making him eager and open to training. He’s already mastered potty training and even rings a bell to let you know when it’s time to head outside! Talk about impressive! An energetic and adventurous spirit, Chicken loves the great outdoors and would make the perfect hiking buddy. Whether it’s exploring trails or playing fetch in the yard, this guy is always up for some fun. While Chicken has so many wonderful qualities, he does have a fear of being closed in a crate. He’ll need a patient adopter who’s willing to work with him on this and help him feel secure. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and active companion who’s ready to fill your life with love and laughter, Chicken might just be your perfect match! 🐕💖To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Story
So many of our rescues come from difficult pasts. Nyx is no exception. Found hiding under a house and scavenging for food, Nyx had never known anything but survival. She started rescue life with a foster who has dedicated her time to helping Nyx overcome so many fears. She has come such a long way, but is still learning to trust the world around her. Feral dogs are different; we work on their time. Nyx will need a home where she can continue to grow at her own pace, without pressure. She thrives most with another dog around, is curious about children, but also needs a relatively calm, structured environment. Her past has taught her the skills that have helped her survive on her own; she is quite independent, making her a pretty low-maintenance dog. She is smart and learns quickly, and begs for mental stimulation. She loves to solve puzzles and chase toys. Experienced adopters prefered.  ##2317376##
