🧡 Meet Oakley — The Overlooked Gentleman with a Heart of Gold 🐾 Oakley isn’t the dog who rushes up to strangers or barks for attention. He’s the one watching quietly from the sidelines — waiting for someone who sees him. Someone with patience. Someone with snacks. 😌 At 5 years old, Oakley has spent far too long being passed by. He’s a laid-back, well-mannered, and deeply loyal boy once he knows you. New people make him nervous, but treats go a long way — and if his trusted shelter caretakers are calm, so is he. He takes his cues from his humans and thrives around dogs with a similar mellow vibe. Oakley is truly the kind of dog who bonds hard once he trusts you. He doesn’t want the spotlight — just a quiet home, some gentle reassurance, and a human who will give him a chance to shine. 🐾 Treat-motivated 🐾 Dog-friendly (with chill dogs) 🐾 Adult-only home preferred 🐾 Quiet soul with so much love to give He’s waited long enough. Maybe he’s been waiting for you. 💔

Story
Meet Major — A Smart and Energetic Guy Major is a high-energy, incredibly intelligent dog who was rescued from euthanasia with the goal of finding him a safe, permanent home. He is a very sweet and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with his people and truly enjoys human companionship. Major has a confident personality and likes to take on an alpha role, so he does best with clear structure, consistency, and an adopter who understands confident dogs. He is highly food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and very responsive to training when positive reinforcement is used. He does best with female dogs and has generally gotten along well with them. Major does not do well with large male dogs and can be too rough for small dogs, so careful placement is important. While he may be able to live successfully with a compatible female dog, Major would likely thrive as an only dog where he can enjoy having his person to himself. An active lifestyle is essential for Major. He has a lot of energy and truly needs space and time to run, play, and burn off that energy each day. A home with a securely fenced yard or an adopter who enjoys regular exercise and enrichment activities would be ideal. When his physical and mental needs are met, Major is loving, focused, and eager to please. Major is looking for a committed home that can provide leadership, daily activity, and continued training. With the right match, he will be a devoted, affectionate companion ready to make the most of his second chance. If you're interested in meeting Major, please contact Nick at 706-905-8233. Story
Hi there, my name is Joy and I'm a senior female german shepard looking for my forever home! Don't let my age fool you, I still have plenty of love and joy to give to a loving family. I am an active and playful girl who loves to go on walks and explore new places. I am always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war, and I am quite clever and curious, always finding new ways to entertain myself. As a social butterfly, I thrive in the company of my human friends. I am a constant companion and will always be by your side, ready for snuggles and belly rubs. I have a happy and sociable personality, making me the perfect addition to any family. Some might call me a bit of a diva, but I just like the finer things in life. Whether it's a cozy bed or a tasty treat, I appreciate the little luxuries. But most of all, I am intelligent and eager to learn, so I would love a family who is willing to continue teaching me new tricks and skills. I may be a senior, but my love knows no age. I am in good health and still have many years of joy to bring to my new family. I am looking for someone who will give me the love and care I deserve in my golden years. So what do you say, want to meet me and see if we are a perfect match? Come to the shelter and ask for Joy, I promise to greet you with a big wag of my tail and a lot of love. Let's spread joy together by making me a part of your family.
