Charlie is a 2 and a half year old male shepherd mix available for adoption at CCHS! Volunteers describe him as "a big happy, curious, energetic boy that sees the world as a wonderful place to explore. He is good-natured and doesn't seem scared of anything. He is up for anything, and just needs some humans to accompany him for exploration trips, or to throw the ball for him!" If you're looking for a dog to keep you company on walks and staying active outdoors, come by and ask to meet with Charlie!

Story
Morgan is a 5-year-old female German shepherd who is available for adoption at CCHS! Morgan was relinquished to us because she wasn't getting along with another dog in the home. She did well with older children in her previous home, and she loves baths and playing in the water. Morgan knows a really cute "trick" where she will retrieve a stuffed toy if someone says "go get your baby!" Morgan would do best in a home that is familiar with German shepherds and their quirks. Come meet Morgan at CCHS!

Story
Marcus is a 3-year-old male shepherd mix available for adoption at CCHS! Marcus did well living with dogs and children in his previous home. Marcus is an energetic, excitable, and jumpy boy who knows "sit!" Staff are working with him on his excitability when it comes to going outside and seeing other dogs out on walks, and he's improving! Come meet this good boy at CCHS! Marcus is a VOLUNTEER FAVORITE pet! Here's what dog socializer, Olgica, has to say about him: "The Gentleman on the Other End of the Leash He is not, if we are being honest, made for quick, routine leashing. He may also stop frequently to investigate a smell that has been sitting on the same tree for five days in the baking sun as though it were breaking news. But everything else about him is 100% gentleman! If you give him a quiet moment he will show you who he really is. He holds paws with us - and not by accident! He places his paws right into our hands and leaves them there for his own comfort - or to comfort us if we had a rough day. He climbs into our laps during car rides although he is not really a small doggy, but somehow all of us believe that he belongs right there. He loves grass and walks in the park, he drops, rolls, wriggles, and repeats it over and over. And did I mention that he loves to sniff, but always together with us? All the above are things people miss when they see a large dog on a leash. A dog who jumps a little because he is happy to see you is not a dog who loves a little. And his love is enormous, yet always gentlemen-like. He forgives us accidentally stepping on his paw, he forgives us when we lose the treat we promised him a minute ago, and just keeps giving kisses. You can trust us, Marcus is worth the extra minute of sniffing, he is so very worth loving, and he has been ready to be YOUR gentleman dog this whole time!"
