Story
🐾❤️ MEET ODIN — EVERY HERO NEEDS HIS HUMAN! ❤️🐾 Inspired by the movie Heart of the Beast, we named this handsome boy ODIN. And just like the incredible canine companion in the film, we’re hoping our Odin finds that special human who will stand by his side through every adventure. Odin was found as a stray in Floyd County, and although we don’t know what his life looked like before FairyTails, we know he’s got a whole lot of living and loving ahead of him! This handsome boy is believed to be under a year old and already weighs 71 pounds! He’s a big boy with even BIGGER feet, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually fills out to 90–100 pounds! German Shepherd? Dutch Shepherd? Belgian Malinois? We’ve heard all three! We aren’t entirely sure what combination makes up this beautiful boy, but we may just have to do a DNA test if his forever family doesn’t scoop him up first! Odin is ALL puppy! He’s incredibly sweet, full of energy, and still has plenty to learn. Because of his size, strength, and possible working-breed heritage, he will need an experienced owner who understands these breeds and is committed to training, structure, and exercise. A fenced yard is strongly preferred. Odin was completely vetted today and is officially ready for adoption! ❤️ ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED DOWN TO JUST $100! ❤️ Somewhere out there is Odin’s person. Someone who sees beyond his size and puppy antics and recognizes the loyal companion he has the potential to become. He doesn’t need a perfect human—just the right one willing to teach him, love him, and give him a place to belong. Every great story has a hero. We’re hoping Odin’s story ends with him finding his human. 🐾 📩 ftadopt@gmail.com Please SHARE and help us find Odin his FairyTails ending! ❤️

Story
Meet Maple   Maple has been in foster care since September 8, and her transformation has been beautiful to watch!   She was found as a stray in an area known for dog breeding. She was extremely scared and skinny!   She spent nearly two weeks decompressing and learning that she was safe. With patience, gentle care, and the freedom to build confidence at her own pace, this sweet girl has come out of her shell.   A Quick Snapshot of Maple * Personality: Smart, very curious, playful, and full of emerging puppy personality! * Favorite things: Chew toys, exploring, belly rubs, walks * Signature move: Her adorable army crawl and flip over for a belly scratch * Dog-friendly: Enjoys playing with her Border Collie and Chihuahua foster siblings and is respectful of her elderly Pomeranian foster sister. * Home habits: vocally quiet in her foster home, not food-aggressive, and has shown no signs of aggression. Eat, play, sleep!! * Safe spaces: Comfortable using a crate and large exercise pen. * Potty training: Understands potty pads but barely uses them now. She is making awesome progress going outside and knows the word “potty.” Everyday is better and better. * Building Confidence. Gentle handling, patience and soft tone helps her feel safe. She may submissively tinkle when unsure until she is confidence in the relationship. Once she feels safe….she shines! * - Maple has really started loving walks and appears like she could potentially make a great running partner for someone!!!   What Maple Needs Maple needs a loving family who understands that trust takes time. She needs consistency, positive reinforcement, and a patient/loving approach. Her foster mom has spent a great deal of time learning Maple’s body language, comfort level, and unique little habits and will gladly help her future family make the transition successful. Maple has already made incredible progress!! Her intelligence is shining through, her playful personality is emerging and is SO fun! She really is an amazing dog and would make a fabulous friend!   Could you be the safe place Maple has been waiting for?   October 28, 2026, 7:32 pm

Story
Lollypop is an adorable gremlin of a Dutch Shepherd mix puppy estimated around 5 months of age. Lollypop was found as a stray in poor condition and unfortunately we do not know anything about her history prior to her arrival at the city shelter.    Lollypop is a pretty typical pup if not a bit more chill than most. She is friendly and a bit on the submissive side meeting new people for the first time but quickly warms up into a ball of energy. She is still getting the knack of life and learning her manners but is a smart, eager to please girl. She is doing well with crate training, is well mannered in the house in a nosy puppy way, and is slowly coming around to the concept of treat training.    Lollypop loves other dogs and takes a lot of her cues from the adult dogs in her foster home. She enjoys a good romp and wrestle with her foster siblings and is equally as happy to lay in the yard basking in the sun. Her survival skills might be a bit lacking if she continues to use her equine companions for shade though... Lollypop is intrigued by the cats in her foster home but has not tried to pester them in any way.    Lollypop needs some TLC, groceries, and mindful socialization to help her grow into the confident girl we know she can be. If you're the home for her email us at tierhavenrescue@gmail.com or visit tierhaven.rescuegroups.org for FAQsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 17, 2026, 1:02 pm
