Titan is the coolest dog you will ever meet! He is up for anything! You going for a run? He is there. Do you like to hike? So does he. Would you like to relax at camp? Consider him in! Titan likes other dogs. He is high energy, so a dog who matches him would be best. Titan loves to play fetch and work on obedience. He picks up training insanely fast. He would love to do any kind of dog sport or run with you! Titan would not be great in a home with cats or very small kids without a ton of separation and training. Titan's leash manners are not great in the shelter because he is so excited. Once he is on a walk or run, he is amazing! Our one volunteer uses a hands free leash when she runs with him. He has competed in 5ks with tons of crowds and has done great. He is currently in a foster home so if you are approved for adoption you will be required to let us know and we will schedule with you to come meet him when the foster is able to bring him to the shelter. T needs a hero! He is a crazy boy at first, but he is so worth it. The only place to apply for adoption is strayhavenanimalshelter.com! Petfinder is a helpful tool to get their faces out there, but there are not applications through their website.

Hi Great Dog Lovers out there! We are courtesy posting a lovely dog for an amazing local Cleveland Rescue Group. This dog's a beauty! A Dutch Shepherd (these lovely dogs originate from the Netherlands, how cool is that)? Meet Ruie Sweet, Energetic Young Female seeking forever home. Looking for a loving home for a playful 1.5 to 2-year-old female who needs a caring person ready to help her reach her full fantastic potential. Despite being left at the kennel by her original owners this enthusiastic girl did not let that get her down and was excited when her new owners rescued her. With every good intent her new family found out that she needed more attention than their busy lives can provide at this time, and they want to do right by her. She loves soaking up the sun, going for car rides, snuggling on the sofa or just being her super playful and athletic happy self. She has lots of love to give, and is smart and sensitive at the same time. She would thrive with someone who can give her the dedicated time to love, mixed with exercise. Ideal home would include: -Experience with young, active dogs. -Commitment and patience to positive reinforcement training. -A secure fenced yard for play and exercise, she is athletic and can jump lower fencing. She's great with people and has been to doggy school learning the basics. This pup has so much potential and love to give, ready to be your best friend ever. Brando is a 6 month old male Beagle x GSD X Border Collie mix who seemed to get more of the hound and GSD than most of his siblings got. He is also the largest by about 10 pounds, weighing in at about 32 pounds currently. We believe he will be a 40-45 pound adult. He`s a bit of a hunky lunk, isn`t he? Brando is a goofy happy boy. He is very people oriented, just wants attention and companionship quite honestly. He`s sort of a doofy boy puppy - but that`s what makes him as charming as he is. He will probably do fine with other dogs and we also think he would be a good match for kids as well. Cats are an unknown, but we think he could learn to live with them if his owners are consistent in letting him know what is okay and what is not. Being 6 months old gives Brando an advantage of those puppies that are half his age - he actually has an attention span and an ability to retain all the things he is trained in a more efficient manner. He will need house trained, crate trained, obedience trained and socialized. We are pretty certain that the people who dumped him and his family out on the road didn`t bother to do much of anything with him or any of them. Audrey is a three year old female Beagle mixed with.....maybe German Shepherd? Bigger than a beagle, not nearly as big as a Shepherd, our Audrey weighs in at about 32 pounds, full grown! Audrey was dumped at some point along with her 5 pups who were about 5 months old. Audrey did everything she could to keep her little family alive, and somehow, while doing that, gave those babies some of the best sweetest temperaments on earth. Raised by a strong loving single mom! The whole family was safe but had no place to go due to overcrowding at the county facility - an immediate request for rescue commitment was sent out and we decided quickly to help and welcome them to our Angels family.Audrey is honestly one of the sweetest little dogs ever. She is seemingly always joyful, always happy to see EVERYONE, gentle, wonderful on a leash, outgoing with friends and strangers alike. She loves love and doesn`t seem to have a cranky bone in her body! Sort of a basic beagle temperament! What makes her excellent temperament and lovely nature even more incredible, is the fact that when one of her caretakers noticed an intermittent limp, our dedicated Doc took an x-ray and found that Audrey had, at some time in the past, suffered a fracture of her leg. It is an old injury, but one that didn`t heal as well as it would have if someone had actually treated it. This special girl had dealt with a broken leg, the time it took to heal, and the discomfort afterwards, without ever showing more than an occasional limp. She has never been grumpy a day since we have known her! Thankfully, the leg did heal, and Audrey will live a normal happy life. She will likely suffer some arthritis in that leg, and to that end we have been giving her joint supplements, and will require her new home to do the same, helping to build up and strengthen that area. We don`t know a lot about Audrey`s past, but since she seems to do a good job keeping her kennel clean, we believe she has a basic understanding of house training and will quickly learn what its all about. She has been introduced to a crate, seems to like other dogs, and would likely be a good match for a family with kids (pending a meet and greet with any resident canines or children).Audrey is smart, receptive to learning, loves treats, loves attention, needs to snuggle and needs a soft bed and lots of pets. It really isn`t too much to ask! Audrey is available for adoption.

Harlow is a pretty little 6 month old Beagle x GSD x Border Colllie mix who was dumped with her 4 siblings and her mom and now needs someone to step up and show her how great life can be! She currently weighs in at about 21 pounds and we expect she will be around 30-35 pounds full grown. Harlow is a very brave and outgoing sort. She is playful and dear but you can see the sassy coming through, truth be told. One of the more independent of this lot, she seems to always be up for adventure and just has a little spark to her. She would likely be fine with other dogs, happy with respectful kids, and while cats are an unknown, we think its absolutely possible for her to learn to live in harmony with them if given some rules about it all. Even though she has lots to learn and is still a pup, at 6 months old, Harlow has a way bigger attention span and capacity to retain knowledge than a younger version. She will need house trained, crate trained, obedience trained and socialized. We can assume that nobody bothered to share much of the world with this pretty kid, and she needs a family that promises to do just that. Harlow will be available for adoption soon.
