Story
Before you even read Harris's bio, you have to watch his video! He is made for the camera and his personality and cuteness will even make the big dog lovers want to adopt him. And look at those ears?! I mean how can you resist those bunny like ears and that cute face. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet little guy: https://youtu.be/sP-2iHk37pQ?si=17EPWSDWuOkxATR5 Isn't he the cutest little guy you've ever seen?! Harris Blaze is a Chihuahua mix approximately 8 years old and currently weights a whole whopping 16 lbs. He's a tiny guy but with a heart full of love and spunk doubling that. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Speaking of age, you know the saying, "age is just a number," well that statement cannot be any more true for Harris. As stated above, we estimate his age to be around 8 years old and he doesn't act like a little old man one bit. I also have to mention that he has the most perfect grey confetti sprinkled throughout his face, paws, ears, and has little patches of tan perfectly placed in all the right places areas that just adds to his uniqueness. Yes, he is pretty laid back for the most I would say 80% of the time but he still finds so much joy in all the things. Harris absolutely LOVES toys! At his foster's house, he has an entire toy box where he will go and grab each of his toys, bring them to the couch and create and entire stock pile of them like he's gathering all of his favorite treasures. His foster's joke about how he is a little pirate dog parading his toys from room to room and treating each one like they are the rarest gem to behold. When it's time to go outside for a potty break or when it's that perfect sunbathing day, Harris's first stop is the toy treasure box where he'll pick out his favorite toy and take it outside with him. His one eye makes that "pirate" analogy even more fitting, hence the name "Harris Blaze the Snuggly One Eyed Pirate dog." Harris is so funny too and incredibly patient. He sat there like a distinguished gentleman when I was balancing his toys on the top of his head. I even timed it and he balanced the toy in his head for a solid 30 seconds. It was the cutest thing and making me laugh so much. Harris is very dog friendly and is currently living with a mix of pups of all ranges in sizes from as little as 7lbs to as large as 120 pounds and gets along great with all of them. He can be found snuggling up to the other dogs on occasion and loves their mellow relaxed vibe because he is the exact same way. He enjoys chilling outside with the pack, sharing treats with his buddies, and snuggling up on the couch for movie time. In a home, Harris is the perfect companion for another relaxed mellow friend like him self. A doggy friend that isn't looking for playmate and enjoys the company of another dog. If you don't have another dog that's totally fine too. Harris loves affection and is more of a people's dog than a dog's dog. He doesn't need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable or to fulfill his energy needs. He is a lover boy naturally and is a relaxed mellow guy. Harris will have no problem being the center of your world and soaking up all the attention. He would be a great companion to have around if you work from home, he'll be content laying on the couch with all his toy treasures, or laying next to your feet while you work. And when it's time to chill? He’s all about curling up in your lap for some quality scratch time after he rolls around on his back for a bit! Harris also loves to go for car rides and can jump in and out of the car without assistance. It doesn't matter if it's just a drive around the block or even a mini road trip, he'll be the best second mate wherever the journey takes y'all. Whether it’s a slow stroll around the block, sunbathing in the yard, snuggling up on the couch for a movie marathon, or porch sitting while you're drink your morning coffee, Harris is happiest just being near you. Harris thrives in a home that has a calm and relaxed environment that matches his mellow vibe. He’s the kind of guy that doesn't need much other than your love and of course a toy treasure box with his name written all over it. Regardless of the time spent away from home or even if you simply step away into the other room, he’ll greet you at the door, tail wagging, just happy you're back no matter how much time has passed. Harris is crate and potty trained, has wonderful house manners and is simply just looking for a cozy spot to call his forever home. When it comes to kids, he is kid friendly and would do best with older kids who understand he's not a playful guy and are knowledgable about how to appropriately interact with dogs since he is an older gentleman and has some old man body sensitivities. Older kids will also match his over all mellow and relaxed vibe as well. If you have friends that have older kids or grandchild that come to visit, he would be fine with that because it's not an everyday thing. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who’s always down to relax, Harris Blaze is your guy. Come meet your new best friend! Story
**Now fostered in Seattle, WA** Oh my word I am just dying to tell you about this little cutie named Camo. Not only is he absolutely a beauty on the outside, but he is so beautiful on the inside too! Let me just start off by saying this guys got some tricks up his sleeve. Not only does he balance on his hind legs, but he also rolls over, and it doesn’t stop there! He can sit, stay, and more! He always looks both ways before crossing the road on his walks, paying close attention to his foster mom. Camo is one of those dogs that you just simply can’t help yourself from falling in love with, and bragging to everyone you know about him. Heck, I’m doing it right now! Camo is a little brown Chihuahua mix weighing 12 lbs and estimated to be 2 years old. This fun, curious boy loves to explore his home, taking in the world around him with the cutest head tilts. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always happy to curl up in your lap for some snuggles and belly rubs (his favorite!). Beware, if you watch this video, you’ll find yourself clicking that application link with the speed of light afterwards! https://youtu.be/Dqt94yPdOls?si=X4FE2IIStsWtH4Ho Camo will charm you instantly with his big personality. He will keep you laughing with all of his silly antics. He's a playful guy who loves toys of all kinds. Camo is also a fantastic shotgun rider. He loves the car, and maybe you can go on some adventures together! Since he's still young, he's still active and will need outlets for his energy, whether that's playtime with you, with doggy friends, enrichment activities, or walks. His daily walks are not only enjoyable for him, but his manners will make it enjoyable for you too! He loves toys, and since he is so smart, he really enjoys his enrichment toys. From puzzles to snuffle mats, this guys got it alllll figured out. His intelligence puts us in awe! Camo would be perfect for a younger singleton or couple, who will play with him, take him on walks in the neighborhood, and give lots of snuggles. You can often find him cozied up in his bed, looking out the window and falling asleep sunbathing. If you walk over to him, he will hike up his little leg and give you the “where are my belly rubs?” Look. And boy is he good at that one! He will do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and sunbathe to his heart's content. He loves to get the zoomies. And it is so funny, partly because he can really fit everywhere! He will run under chairs and tables, jumping on the couch and running around your feet! We promise you will be giggling so hard you won’t be able to stop. He could also live in an apartment because he’s just a tiny guy! He currently lives in an apartment while he waits for his forever family to find him. Camo could fit in anywhere, and that’s what we love most about him. Camo does well with other small dogs and could live in a home with other dogs, or by himself, soaking up all the attention. Camo is a regular at doggy day care, and the entire staff there is in love with him. He has soooooo many friends! He passed a cat test too, so we think he will do well in a home with a cat. Camo will do best in a home without kids, or with older kids, who can respect his boundaries. He would rather his home life be calm and chill. If you’re looking for a playful, fun, and lovable companion who’s just as happy exploring as he is cuddling, Camo might be the perfect match for you! Story
Meet Gramps! Estimated to be around 7 years young, Gramps is a spirited Chihuahua with a heart full of love and energy. Don’t let his name fool you—this little guy is anything but old at heart! He’s playful, curious, and always ready for some fun, especially if toys or treats are involved. Gramps has a gentle mouth when taking treats and knows how to sit like a pro. Squeak a toy, and you’ll see his eyes light up—he’ll happily chase it down and bring it back for more. He’s also a great leash-walker and enjoys getting out and about for strolls and fresh air. When playtime winds down, Gramps is all about the snuggles. He’s the perfect couch companion and will happily curl up beside you for a nap or a movie night. Gramps would thrive in a home with a mindful family or older adults who can appreciate his balance of pep and affection. He gets along well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as your one and only. Ready to bring some joy and fun into your life? Gramps is waiting to meet you! You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there!
