While we don’t know much about his past, it’s clear he still carries the weight of abandonment and abuse.He’s especially timid around men, and while we believe this fear comes from his past, it’s important to know he’s never aggressive — just unsure. He needs a calm, patient home where he can decompress and begin to heal. A place where someone will show him, day by day, that the world can be kind again.Chip does wonderfully with kids (both boys and girls), women, and other dogs. He especially enjoys playing with his Great Dane foster sister, Euca!When it comes to men, he just needs slow introductions, some decompression time, and the chance to build trust. He doesn’t need to avoid men forever — he just needs someone who will go at his pace.He absolutely melts for gentle pets, soft forehead kisses, cozy cuddle sessions, and peaceful time outdoors.
