Story
Meet Luna! Big, beautiful, and full of personality, Luna is a Neapolitan Mastiff who knows exactly what she likes - and she’s not afraid to tell you! This gorgeous girl loves affection, especially her favorite kind: butt scratches! And despite her impressive size, Luna also fancies herself a lap dog. She may not realize quite how much space she takes up, but that certainly won’t stop her from trying to climb right into your lap!
Luna has been with her family since she was just three months old, but after experiencing a series of false pregnancies, her demeanor changed. She used to enjoy trips to the dog park and playing with other dogs, but these days Luna has made it clear that she feels most comfortable as the only four-legged member of the family. She can also be a little particular about her human friends and may get cranky (even with people she knows well) so she’s looking for an adopter who understands her breed, respects her boundaries, and appreciates that trust is something to be earned.
The good news? Luna LOVES toys! Fetch? Absolutely. Squeaky toys? Bring them on. Hard chews? Yes, please! Give this smart girl something fun to do and she’ll happily entertain herself. Luna is house-trained, crate-trained, and a very smart cookie. She received obedience training as a puppy and learned all her “good girl” skills early in life. And if you’re looking for a four-legged security system, Luna would be happy to apply for the job - she certainly loves the sound of her own voice!
Luna isn’t looking for just any home: she needs someone who understands and respects the unique personality and needs of her breed, is comfortable with her independent streak, and will give her the structure, boundaries, and patience she needs to thrive. In return, you’ll get a wonderfully entertaining, intelligent, toy-loving girl with plenty of personality and yes, if you earn her trust, those butt scratches and oversized lap-dog cuddles are absolutely part of the deal!
