Hidy do! My name is Patton! I am an “almost” one-year-old retriever mix. I was picked up by one of the kind Humane Deputies of Animal Control. I had been roaming around a neighborhood looking for food, shelter, and kindness. Someone called the shelter for a “pick up!” I rode to the shelter and when I arrived I was given a big clean dog run, a big bowl of food, and a nice comfy bed. Ahhhhhh…..I went straight to sleep and had some sweet dreams! Well, I was never claimed and I am now ready to meet some new folks! I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. I am such a handsome boy and sweet too! I hope I will be adopted soon!

Pepsi is a sweet one-year-old retriever mix who is looking for a new home. She was picked up by one of the nice deputies of Animal Control as she roamed in a neighborhood. Pepsi was never claimed by her owners and the shelter got her ready for adoption! She has all of her vaccinations, she is heartworm negative, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. I don’t know if you happened to notice her ears or not, but they are magnificent! I bet she can pick up sound waves from miles away!!

Bain has experienced an insecure and traumatic life so far. He is only about two years old and he is a retriever/lab mix. He was living downtown, hiding from people, and living on the kindness of some office staff at a nearby building. They watched Bain and did their best to win his trust, but could never get him close enough to bring to the shelter. Finally a humane trap was set and Bain was finally caught. Right now he is safe at the shelter. He has gotten all of his vaccinations, he has a microchip, and he was neutered. Unfortunately, Bain is heartworm positive. He has treatment already set up. The biggest thing holding back Bain right now is his fear. We have no idea what he has been through. He is getting his basic needs met and employees and volunteers are doing their best to reach out and make a connection with Bain. He is very nervous and afraid in the shelter environment. Bain desperately needs a foster home so he can relax and calm his fear. The noisy environment at the shelter is keeping him shutdown. A foster home without non-stop barking would be a great first step. Next would be someone to become his Adoption Ambassador so he could stay in a “home” environment while actively looking for his forever home. Will Bain be “lucky” for the first time in his life and find the quiet, calm environment that he needs to heal?
