Story
Millie, a spayed female Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix, is in search of a special home. Millie has difficulty meeting new people so it has been a challenge finding her a new home. She does get along well with everyone at her foster home and is doing well there, so we believe that there is a perfect adopter out there who will be able to provide everything she needs.
Millie is considered special needs due to a potential diagnosis of Cushing's Disease. Millie requires sedation before vet appointments, so it is not possible to obtain accurate test results from the tests needed. As a result of her condition, Millie tends to drink and urinate more than usual, so regular outdoor access is crucial for her. If she can go outside as frequently as needed, she is house trained.
Millie is an independent girl who loves exploring the yard, going for walks, and playing in the water. She takes her role as a protector seriously and will bark to alert you when someone arrives. While she generally gets along with most dogs, cats, and larger farm animals, it's important to note that she is not compatible with small animals like bunnies.
