This is Halligan, a 3 year old Flat Coat Retriever who is in desparate need of a home.  His owner is in the military and leaving San Antonio, Texas on Friday, October 27.  He will turn him into our very high kill shelter at that time.   I was just made aware of the situation.  Halligan is an extremely friendly and family pet who loves kids but only good with his pet companion Akira who is also availabile for adoption.  If you can give him a home please submit an application on the website below or give me a call so we can save his life.  Thank you, www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. There were 18 PUPPIES and 12 ADULTS in this group.... we ALL got saved!! Sweet Pea, that’s me! And let me tell you, my name rings true. I am the most affectionate, fun-loving dog out there! Once I bond with you, I'll give you all my love and loyalty. So, how did I wind up in this "rescue" situation? Well, I was spotted roaming outside a horse barn several months ago. A group of good Samaritans saw how skinny and scared I was and decided to give me a real life. So, off to foster care I went! I was pretty shy at first, but I’ve really blossomed since learning about the kindness of humans. My foster family describes me as spunky, sweet and exuberant--I love showing off my best zoomies in the yard, joining in on walks and simply being around my humans. I dream of a loving owner who can bring me on their hikes, hunting trips and fishing excursions! By the way, I am both potty trained and crate trained, so my new owner won't have to worry about teaching me manners. Just be sure to keep me away from any cats, as they can get me a little wound up! With that, it's important to know that I adore other dogs and people of all sizes. Open up your arms to me and I promise to be the best girl ever.
