Meet Cosmo This adorable guy has the spunk and spirit of a typical pup. His mom was unfortunately run over and he had to have a little help being bottle fed until able to eat on his own. You would not know it by looking at him or in his glowing personality. Cosmo is always up for a romp during playtime. He is also one of the sweetest snugglers. Cosmo has grown to adoption age in the same wonderful household and his foster mom would love to give you all the details on his daily life. Cosmo is well socialized and would do great in a home with or without dogs and/or with or without children. If you are looking for a dedicated family companion, you can’t go wrong with this cutie. Once adopted, Cosmo will transport with Rescue Vet Transport to his new forever family (additional $185). Story
Hi, my name is Boss Hog, I am about 2 years old and a slender 50 lbs. I arrived from TX in WI over a year ago after being pulled from a hoarding situation where I grew up with lots of other dogs as my only family. I'm shy and hesitant, but I've been showing my foster family the awkward, clumsy, hilarious, silly and affectionate side of me that comes with patience.I'm house trained, I am fine in my crate but are trusted loose while my family is away, I'm good on a leash and I love walks and car rides! I do have an old front leg injury that makes me limp sometimes, but that never stops me. Because I wasn't around a lot of people growing up, I can be super shy when I first meet you, but I react by avoiding, there's not a mean bone in my body where humans are concerned. I do NEED at least one other dog in my home, I watch the other dogs to see what's safe (and I'm not above getting jealous when affection is involved!). And a fenced yard is also important for me as I'm a flight risk. But the more dogs the better, having a pack around me is how I spent my first year. I'm fine with kids when they're calm, if they get too loud I just go somewhere else. I'm okay with dog-savvy cats, but are way too interested in rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. I love to run and play and chase and tug with my dog friends, I'm not big into toys but will chew the occasional stick or Benebone. And I love sleeping under my foster mom's desk while she works, I'll give her a little nose push to remind her that I'm there for her. And I'm way too polite to stick my head in the trash or steal your sandwich.I may not show you who I am when you first meet me, but I've got so much love to give, with a little patience I'd love to be yours! Very nice to meet you, I'm Janeane! I'm about 1 year old & currently weigh about 45 lbs. Humans weren't always nice to me, so when I first meet strangers, I might bark & growl at them to let them know that I'm nervous. But I have two things I really love - treats & other dogs! So, if you're patient & have those two magic items, I'll work through my anxiety & show you my silly, sweet, submissive, cuddly side that makes everyone fall in love. I sleep like an angel in my crate overnight but am now trusted to choose my own place to sleep (and I choose my crate with the open door), I haven't had an accident in the house yet, & I'm a breeze to walk. I'm fine sharing my toys (I love all kinds!) & food with humans & other dogs, aren't touchy about my tail/paws/ears/etc (after I'm comfortable with you) & crave affection so you better be okay with giving scratchies! I love walks where I can sniff & inspect everything & am great on car rides. I haven't met any cats yet. Younger kids can make me nervous, they move fast & that's scary & I growl to have them calm down, but I've been great with teens. I've lived with big & small dogs, & I do *NEED* another dog to show me the ropes & help me understand that I'm okay. I also have a rough & tumble play style, so a dog friend with is okay with that is important. So, if you've got some patience while I learn I'm safe with you, I think we could be great friends!
