Story
Meet Lugnut!  Lugnut recently traveled from Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Lugnut is brand new to our rescue and is currently getting settled into a foster home to begin potty, crate, leash, and obedience training. During this period, we will also be learning more about Lugnut’s personality, so be sure to check back for more information! In the meantime, she will be spending her days romping, cuddling, getting lots of playtime, love, and going on new adventures with her foster family, all while growing into a healthy pup! We are currently taking applications for Lugnut, who will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery. Lugnut is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2657664##

Story
Henry is a 1-year-old neutered male purebred Bloodhound from Tennessee. He moved here with his young family about a year ago. They have since had their first baby and the wife, being young and a first-time. Mom, decided that a big drooling s******* dog in the house was not going to work for her. The husband reluctantly surrendered him to our rescue for rehoming. Henry is a fantastic example of the breed. A very beautiful and correct. Is socializing has been a little neglected so he's a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He's getting used to playing feather dogs while here in Rescue. He's fine with our cat. He's completely housebroken and very comfortable and a crate. He's not destructive or a challenge to fences. However he will require a solid fence.hes you g enough he can still be trained for scent work!

Story
Gary is your classic hound through and through! With his soulful eyes, floppy ears, and nose that never quits, this handsome guy is always ready to follow a scent and see where it leads. If there’s something interesting to sniff, Gary is on the case. Like most hounds, he’s curious, expressive, and not afraid to share his opinions — especially if he catches an exciting smell! He enjoys exploring, stretching his legs, and then settling down for some well-earned relaxation time. Gary would love a home that appreciates the true hound experience. If you love hounds, you’ll love Gary! Come see for yourself! :)
