He was a stray that we took in to try to foster. we checked if he was chipped and looked for an owner but we could not find one. He's very sweet, playful and loves attention. His age is guessed at around 2 years old. He's a loving dog that just needs a loving family

Story
MAC - HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS ADOPTION SPECIAL $100 Mac is an almost 2 year old, 60.9# male, American Foxhound/Harrier mix that was brought in as a stray. Mac can be nervous in new situations, but he was still happy to meet everyone. He loves treats, and he enjoys exploring and sniffing around his environment. Mac is a VERY active and energetic boy, and he is looking for a specific home. His new place must be with very active people who can take him out often. He will not only need physical play every day, but mental work as well. Mac has also been extremely interested in other dogs. His social skills are getting better every day. He would probably love another doggie friend. However, they would need to be okay with his high energy level. He needs more space and play time. Here is what is foster Mom had to say about this silly sweet boy: "Hi! I'm Mac! I'm about 1.5 - 2years old and a hound mix. I was found behind a McDonald's and was rescued last minute from being euthanized at a shelter. I am living my best life with my foster family, but it's time for me to find my furever home. My foster momma thinks I'm a really sweet boy! She says I love playing with my toys, smiling, getting the zoomies in the backyard, rolling around in the grass, going on walks, going on runs, and snuggling with her when I get tuckered out. I am loyal and loving, and I love meeting new people. Sometimes, I get really excited about seeing my foster momma and new people, and I need to be reminded of the "No jumpies" rule I'm learning. Oh, my foster momma also thinks I'm pretty sharp. I know "sit, stay (my record is 9 seconds...come on now, I'm still a puppy!), lay down, paw, other paw, in the house, off, jump up, touch, give kisses, and stop for car." I am working on crate training and doing pretty well! I usually settle down in about 15-30 minutes and can stay in my crate for 5-6 hours! Just give me room to stretch my legs and a good chewy toy, and I can be patient for you to come home! Here's what I'm looking for: I need a family with older kiddos because I don't realize my size! I would be good with another active, laid-back dog, but I need to eat in another room (I resource guard). I would be really happy going on several walks a day or running laps with a friend in a fenced-in yard. I do need a more experienced dog family because I need more redirection and obedience training. What can I say? I'm a hound dog, and nose goes! While I am fascinated by kitties and am adjusting to them in my foster home, my foster momma reminds me every day that they might not be as excited to meet me. I'd probably do best without sharing a home with them. Please come meet me and find out if I'm your "Mackadoo" or "Macnado" or "Goob" for life! I promise I'm worth it!" His adoption fee is $100.
