Hi there my name is Newt, I was recently brought to Five Acres after a good samaritan took me from off the streets. While I was getting healthy in my temporary home there were other dogs that I enjoyed playing with. I am also very good around kids as I have a very calm demeanor. I am kind of shy guy at first but once I'm comfortable with you, your forehead is free game for kisses. My friends at Five Acres tell me there's no way I'll be here too long since I'm such a good boy. Story

This is Chucky, who came out of an accidental hoarding situation along with twenty other dogs. He is estimated to be about six years old and is the sibling to two of the other dogs that were brought in. Chucky is some sort of hound mix, is very friendly, and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, he is positive for heartworms and so cannot get out and run around like he needs to. He also cannot be neutered until his heartworm treatment is complete, which means he won't be officially available for adoption for a few months. We are trying to find a foster home for Chucky that can keep him entertained and supervised during this time, whether it is permanent or temporary. He also needs some training for house manners and walking on a leash. If you are interested in meeting Chucky and possibly fostering, please talk to office staff.

Chance is an older gentleman and a precious soul that deserves all of the love and comforts life has to offer. He is happiest when he is getting pets and when he is close to his human. He can also be content on his bed. He is very friendly with other dogs and will verbally correct his playmates if need be. Chance has not shown any aggression towards cats, but has been curious. He is housetrained and kennel trained. He is bonded with his foster sister Goldie Locks, and must go to a foster home and adopter together.

Elvis is a loveable 56 pound mixed breed boy. According to the vet, he is about a year and half old. He is house trained and is good with kids and other dogs!He slept through the night loose in the house and was loose in the house all day with no issues. We watched him on the baby camera! Also, someone on the northeast Facebook identified him as a dog she saw clipped by a car late Friday night.
