Meet Lucas Happy, Playful, and Full of Puppy Personality—Lucas Is Ready for His Forever Family Breed: Terrier Mix Gender: Male | Age: 03/12/2026 | Weight/Size: 12 lbs currently (medium / small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Playful | ❤️ Sweet | Friendly | Curious & Fun-Loving Medical: Neutered and current on vaccinations Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Lucas is an adorable 6-month-old Terrier mix weighing approximately 12 pounds. He's a happy young pup with all the fun, curiosity, and playful energy you'd expect from a puppy his age. Lucas is friendly with other dogs and good with children. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. At six months old, Lucas is at such a fun stage of puppyhood. He's old enough for his personality to really start shining through, but he's still young and has plenty to learn about the world. He loves opportunities to play, explore, investigate new things, and spend time with his people. As a Terrier mix, Lucas may share many common Terrier qualities. Terriers are often bright, curious, playful, energetic, confident, and full of personality. They can be clever little dogs who enjoy having something to do, whether that's playing with toys, learning new skills, going for walks, or investigating every interesting smell they encounter. Lucas would benefit from a family that provides: Plenty of love and companionship Daily age-appropriate exercise Playtime and interactive toys Positive-reinforcement training Continued puppy socialization Mental stimulation and enrichment Consistent routines and boundaries Safe chew toys Patience through adolescence A secure and loving indoor home A lifelong commitment Lucas may be a cute little puppy now, but his adopter should be ready to love and care for the adult and senior dog he will eventually become, too. Puppy Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At six months old, Lucas is still very much a puppy. His future family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, excitement, bursts of energy, distraction, curiosity, and occasionally testing the rules. Rescue puppies may arrive with basic training at best, so Lucas's adopter should be prepared to continue working on: House training as needed Crate training as appropriate Basic commands Leash manners Appropriate chewing Calm greetings Recall Household boundaries Continued socialization Comfortable handling and grooming Lucas is approaching adolescence, a stage when puppies sometimes seem to temporarily "forget" things they've already learned. Patience and consistency are important. Short, positive training sessions will help him develop good habits while strengthening his relationship with his new family. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Give Lucas structure, affection, patience, and plenty of opportunities to succeed, and he'll have a wonderful foundation for adulthood. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Lucas's vaccination, neuter, deworming, and other veterinary information was not provided. His complete medical records should be reviewed to determine what care has already been completed and what may still be needed. His future family should be prepared to provide: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Age-appropriate vaccinations and boosters Neutering if not already completed, as recommended Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Quality nutrition appropriate for a growing puppy Healthy weight management Routine dental care Age-appropriate exercise Continued training and socialization Mental stimulation and enrichment Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and loving indoor home At six months old, Lucas is still growing physically and emotionally. Good nutrition, preventative veterinary care, training, exercise, and plenty of positive experiences will help him grow into a healthy and confident adult dog. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Lucas, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Lucas is 12 pounds of puppy fun, curiosity, and love. He's dog-friendly, kid-friendly, playful, and just beginning to discover who he's going to become. Now he needs a family ready to guide him through puppyhood and give him the one thing every puppy deserves—a forever home. September 11, 2026, 1:50 pm

Story
Tali never imagined she'd be searching for a new family. She spent her entire life with the people she loved, but when her family had to move, they could no longer keep her. Through no fault of her own, this sweet girl found herself starting over. It's a big change for any dog, but Tali has handled it with the same quiet, gentle spirit that makes everyone who meets her fall in love.If you're looking for a calm, low-maintenance companion, Tali may be your perfect match. She's incredibly laid back, rarely makes a peep, and is happiest spending her days napping nearby or simply enjoying your company. She gets along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats, making her an easy addition to just about any home.Tali does have a heart murmur and takes a daily heart medication, which she happily eats mixed into a little canned food. She doesn't mind her routine one bit and continues to enjoy life at her own relaxed pace. She's also still working on house training. Tali faithfully goes outside first thing in the morning with the other dogs, but she still has occasional accidents during the day. With patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, she'll continue making progress.Tali isn't flashy or demanding. She's simply a kind soul looking for a soft place to land and someone to love. After losing the only home she'd ever known, we'd love nothing more than to see her spend the rest of her life feeling safe, cherished, and home again.Tali is currently being fostered in Bryan, Texas, but don't let distance stop you. Panda never expected to be looking for a new family. She spent her entire life with the people she loved, but when her family had to move, they could no longer keep her. Through no fault of her own, Panda found herself starting over. Now she's hoping the next chapter of her story is one filled with love, stability, and a family to call her own forever.Panda is the perfect mix of confident and affectionate. She enjoys keeping an eye on everything happening outside and may bark to let you know when she spots a dog or cat in the neighborhood. Around the house, though, she's wonderfully laid back and loves nothing more than climbing into your lap for a little extra love. She gets along well with people and other dogs, although she likes to think she's in charge of the canine committee. If another dog needs reminding about the house rules, Panda is happy to volunteer for the job! She'll bark at cats outside but doesn't chase them.Panda sleeps peacefully in her dog bed under the bed and enjoys the comfort of a predictable routine. She is still working on house training, so her future family will need a little patience and consistency as she settles into her new home. After losing the only home she had ever known, Panda deserves a family who will love her for the rest of her life. We think she's more than ready to return that love tenfold.Panda is currently being fostered in Bryan, Texas, but don't let distance stop you.
