Aster is an absolute love bug who lives for snuggles and being close to her people. Her favorite place is curled up beside you, burrowed deep under the blankets, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She is the kind of dog that wants to truly be part of your everyday life.
But don’t let those soulful eyes fool you — in true Beagle fashion, Aster’s nose can lead her into adventures of her own! If she catches an interesting scent, she is ready to follow it, and she has proven to be quite talented at escaping fenced yards. Because of this, Aster will need supervised outdoor time and a family committed to keeping her safe.
At her foster home, Aster is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on a leash. Like any dog transitioning into a new home, she may need a little time to adjust to a new schedule and routine.
Aster is very food motivated and wonderfully affectionate, but she also embraces her Beagle Basset roots completely — including the adorable bays and howls when she gets excited or wants attention.
