Story
Abel is an adorable 3 month old male puppy. He currently weighs about 15 pounds, and we anticipate him to be medium size when fully grown. He has a beautiful black and tan coat and a natural bob tail! Abel and his brother ended up at a shelter in rural Texas due to no fault of their own. He is excited to be in his Wisconsin foster home, but can't wait to find his forever home! Abel loves people and loves to play with other dogs. His foster family also has cats, and while he does okay with them, he does chase them a bit and barks at them. He is potty trained and crate trained in his foster home, but his forever family should be prepared to do more training while he learns the routine in his new home. He loves to snuggle after a good play session. He particularly loves soft blankets and cozy dog beds. He loves the kiddos in his foster family and would love a family of his own to grow up with! He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. We use those funds to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south eastern Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. We cannot guarantee breed or age. We assign breed and age designations based on veterinary advice and information from the prior owner.

Meet Fredrick (Fred) Fredrick is a 2-year-old, approximately 45-pound Basset Hound/Beagle mix (best guess) with a short, sturdy build and classic low-rider legs. He has done very well in a foster home and is ready for his next placement. Fred is friendly, people-oriented, and enjoys being indoors, especially when it means attention and a comfortable environment. He loves spending time with his people and has even enjoyed playing outside in the snow with his foster sibling. He is potty trained and crate trained, and while he is still working on leash manners, he continues to make steady progress. Fred does well with other dogs and is especially good with kids. Though his photos don’t always show it, he is on the shorter side with a solid, compact build. Fred recently finished his heartworm treatment and is now ready to travel. He is neutered and cleared to come north with a foster or adopter who will give him the loving home he deserves.
