2⃣ Rescue Story
* Klein was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Jeongeup along with her four siblings when they were very young. She stayed at the Jeongeup shelter for about a year. However, when she and her siblings were placed on the euthanasia list, Adogs stepped in and saved all four of them, including Klein.
3⃣ Basic Information
* With People: Tends to be quite shy. So in the beginning at the foster home, she was wary and scared of the caregivers. As she gradually adjusted, she started eating the food and treats they offered and became much less fearful. Now, feels more comfortable at home and does not avoid caregivers when approached by them. Becomes expressive, playful, and licks them as a sign of affection. When she meets strangers at home, she seems to be nervous but takes treats, when provided.
* With Dogs: Feels more comfortable around other dogs than people. Approaches other dogs wagging the tail, but only sniffs them gentlely and politely — she’s a very mannered and gentle dog. With dogs she knows well, she becomes more social and greets them warmly.
* With Cats: Tends to chase cats she encounters on walks. Caution is needed.
* Separation Anxiety: May whine briefly when her guardian comes back home. However, generally enjoys her alone time without separation anxiety. Even when left with strangers, she stays calm and relaxed in her own spot.
* Potty Training: Indoor potty training is still in progress, with about a 70% success rate on pads. Prefers to relieve herself outdoors and always poops outside.
* Hygiene: Doesn't enjoy baths or brushing, but tolerates them well. Is still a bit scared of the dryer and tends to run away to avoid it. For nail trimming, one person is needed to hold her while another trims her nails. Her guardian is currently introducing her to tooth brushing gently with a soft gauze. Is timid but gentle, so patiently endures it.
* Walks: Follows first when her caregiver grabs the leash and says it's time for a walk. Pulls on the leash a bit in the beginning but goes for walks very nicely, keeping pace with her guardian. Prefers going to familiar places to new trails. Double-leash is a must because she tries to run away when getting frightened. When she sees a cat, she may pull a little on the leash, so some caution is required.
* Car Sickness: Doesn’t get car sick but is scared of bright lights like neon signs at night, preferring to stay held by a person for comfort.
* Nip: Never shows possessive, defensive, or aggressive biting behavior.
* Barking: Occasionally whines briefly when her guardian comes home or goes out of a room.
* Likes: Loves sleeping, treats, and going for walks. Although she’s still afraid of people, she loves walks so much that she goes to the front door and waits, hearing "let's go" ! Outside, she enjoys lying on the grass and relaxing during walks.
* Dislikes: Is scared when strangers approach or hears loud noises. Is also frightened by neon signs and bright lights when riding in a car at night. Dislikes sitting on cold floors.
