Meet Roxie: 15 Pounds of Frenchie Fabulousness Looking for a tiny best friend with a big personality and an even bigger heart? Meet Roxie, a 1.5-year-old French Bulldog who weighs in at a whopping 15 pounds of pure cuteness (yes, shes basically a living, snorting potato with legs). Roxie is potty trained, crate trained, and fully vetted: spayed, up to date on all her care, and ready to pack her tiny bags for her forever home. Shes friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, and generally enjoys being part of the action (or supervising it from the coziest blanket she can find). Like many Frenchies, Roxie has a few adorable diva tendencies with other dogs. She prefers a little personal space while shes in her crate (a girl needs her beauty sleep), and shed appreciate not being interrupted during meals: because snacks are serious business. Give her those simple boundaries, and shell reward you with snuggles, companionship, and endless entertainment. Roxie is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, with that signature Frenchie charm that makes people fall in love in about 3 seconds. Shes tiny, sweet, and ready to be someones spoiled little princess. If youre looking for a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger capacity for love, Roxie might just be your girl. Story
Renni is a super sweet, beautiful blue merle Frenchie who loves people. Renni had some kind of spinal injury that has left her back legs paralyzed and incontinent, but she's not letting that slow her down! She scoots around like a champ and is even faster in her wheels. She wants to be with her person 24/7, so would love to be in a retired or work-from-home family who can keep her clean and dry and give lots of attention. Life is easiest without stairs: she glides around like an ice dancer on the hardwood floors in her foster home. She's usually cooperative for the diaper changes and she has just enough of a tail nub that they really stay on! We've had great sucess with the CuteBone cloth diapers with no tail hole (no leaks)! She's been good with (mostly ignoring) the resident pug and boston in her foster home, but can be reactive to new dogs. We're not sure what her criteria is, but she may need to be the dominant personality if there are other pets. Name: Renni Breed: French bulldog Color: Blue merle Age: 2 yo Sex: female Weight: 28 House training: incontinent, diapers stay on well, cooperative for changing Crate trained: begrudgingly Barking: low to moderate Digs in yard: no Good with dogs: selectively, can be reactive to other dogs, but is indifferent to 2 small dogs in foster home Good with cats: per previous owner, but not verified Good with kids: per previous owner but not verified Food/treat aggression: none Likes, dislikes, special considerations: loves attention, treats and generally being near her people. Doesn't care for, but tolerates, being flipped over on her back, being carried. General health: paralyzed back legs, otherwise healthy. Very adept at scooting around on smooth floors. Temperament, personality, and behavior: Happy, sweet, velcro dog, loves to cuddle. Guards territory and her human. Story
9 years young | 24 lbs | Tiny teeth, huge heart Bane is a 9yearold little guy who weighs about 24 lbs and is on the skinny side, so hes currently enjoying the good life withtwo meals a day(which he strongly supports). Despite everything hes been through, Bane is trulya very good boywith a sweet soul and a lot of love to give. He gets along well withmen, kids, and other dogs. With dogs, he can sometimes be a bit pushy and mouthybut dont worry, he hasvery few teethand isnt actually trying to fight. Think more grumpy grandpa commentary than real drama. Special Care, Special Boy Bane isparalyzed, though he can stand for a few seconds and moves his legs when hes in his wheelchair. Hes incontinent and needsdiapers/belly bandsandmanual bladder expression, but hes surprisingly cooperative. Hes great about holding his poop until bladder time (thank you, Bane!), and he does well in his belly band about95% of the time. At night, Bane sleepsin the bed like the VIP he is. If hes expressed well before bedtime and wears his belly band, he can hold it overnight. His Ideal Home Bane is looking for a home with: Experience with paralyzed dogsand bladder expression No stairs Minimal cement, as scooting on concrete can scrape his legs He currently lives with several other dogs and does fine, but we think he would truly shine in a home withfewer dogsor even as an only dogwhere he can soak up more attention. He would also be happy withone or two calm dog friends. A Little Extra TLC Because Bane was previously deprived of food and water, he now does best withfrequent access to waterand regular meals. Since having consistent access, hes much more relaxed and content. The Bottom Line Bane may need some extra care, but what he gives back isabsolutely worth it. Hes sweet, loving, gentle, and resilientand hes ready for a home that sees how special he truly is. If youre looking for a dog who will steal your bed, your heart, and probably your snacks,Bane is your guy. Story
Meet Jess: confident, affectionate, and the self-appointed CEO of basically everything. She and Pru are a bonded duo who do life together. Like many women, they even go to the bathroom together and must be adopted as a pair. Jess is the more outgoing, dominant sister and shes not shy about it. Shes also the more affectionate one and will absolutely pop up for kisses including at the exact moment you bend down to clip her leash (surprise hug attack!). Boundaries? Jess has never heard of them and sees furniture as a group project. Food: I Finished First Energy Shes very food motivated and can be pushy about treats/food, sometimes trying to shoo Pru away. She eats from a slow feeder (non-elevated) and still finishes before Pru. Good news: shes learning to let Pru finish and has made progress with supervision. Training: Smart, Motivated, and Learning the Rules (Slowly) Knows: sit, kennel, lets go. Learning: leave it, off, come, no, pee/poop (yespotty cues are being trained). Important Management Notes High prey drive; working on leave it around small animals, and leash is required for that training to work. Can be defensive with new people at first (growls/barks), but warms up quickly with calm attention. Can be reactive to other dogs and will test boundaries, so she needs a strong, aware handler who keeps her leashed. No chicken in food/treats (itchy reaction). Crates easily at night after a ~10pm potty, wakes around 6:307am, and is most vocal when she wants something (especially in the morning). Also: folding baby gates are merely a suggestion to her (little baby rhino energy). If Jess is separated from Pru, Jess gets anxious shes team we come as a set. Ideal home for Jess (and Pru): structured routine, secure fencing, no small animals, and humans who enjoy being loved aggressively (by two small couch potatoes   Please visit our website www.blacktiebostonrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other available dogs and dogs coming soon.
