About Me: Name: KoKo Breed (or best guess): Shih Tzu - French Bulldog Approximate Age: 2 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving Family Why In Rescue: Owner Surrender Profile:   GiGi (black) and KoKo (gray) were surrendered to another family who then surrendered them to us to find them appropriate homes.  When together GiGi and KoKo tend to bully other dogs, so should be adopted either separately or, if together, without other dogs.  GiGi is a little more shy that KoKo who is very social.  If interested in meeting GiGi and/or KoKo, please fill out the pre-adoption application.  KoKo does not like bigger dogs.  They were doing pretty well with housetraining, but being at the shelter may need some retraining when they go back into homes. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS February 3, 2026, 3:10 pm

Story
Name: Zuzu Female Frenchton Four years old 25 pounds She has been spayed and up to date on all her shots. She is also microchipped. Zuzu came from a puppy mill, where she was kept in a cage 4 for years. She never felt grass under her feet, or the kindness of human touch. So a fenced in yard is required and leash training needed. She is learning from her foster brothers and sisters to go potty outside. When she is in the house, she will go potty on the pee pads. She loves snuggles on the couch and she will sit on your lap for hours. She loves belly rubs and any physical contact she can get. She came to us very shy and timid. Each day she comes a little more out of her shell. She loves dinner time and treats, but she does not beg for human food while you're eating. She loves other dogs. Cats are unknown, but I think she would do very well with cats. She is good with kids Fostered in Libertyville Illinois $550 adoption fee Misty Lindstrand 224-381-0521 Lilblondeturtle@yahoo.com

Story
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Greg was originally adopted over a year ago but his family is seeking a new home. Greg loves his people and does well with the dogs in his home. He struggles with visitors and needs a home that can work with this and be consistent with the boundaries bulldogs need. He’s a lovable lump, but becomes a bossy bouncer to those he’s not sure should be admitted into his house. Greg has experienced IVDD as many frenchies do, so a home that has one level would help Greg keep his back safe. He can live with other dogs who won’t play rough with him or challenge him to do more than his potato body should. Frenchie are not beginner dogs so someone who knows and understands the breed is a must. Being a frenchie, preference will be given to those who are committed and experienced with this breed. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
My name is Rocko and I’m joining the Paddy’s Paws family as a local surrender. I have always lived with other dogs and have met the 5 dogs of all ages and sizes in my foster home just fine. My foster family will work on developing a crate routine and I'll get a break every 3-4 hours during a work day to make sure I have lots of time and attention. I have enjoyed their couch already and probably wouldn't fuss if you had stairs to help my potato body get up there, as I prefer to do it myself versus being picked up. Bulldog independence is important to me :) I am not yet neutered, but will be in foster. My new family will need to be patient with me being recently altered mature male. Those hormones need to subside so I can catch on to your routine! I am most definitely a bulldog with my squatty body and bulldog antics! To know them is to love them, and as bulldog owners know, they have a personality all their own and need guidance, structure, and tolerance for gas ;) My foster family also found out I likely have Idiopathic Epilepsy. This isn’t uncommon in my breed and is managed by medication. For this reason, I am looking for a family with Frenchie experience or bulldog experience. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
