Story
Introducing Rhiannon, a gentle two-year-old, 24-pound German Pinscher mix patiently awaiting her perfect match at the shelter. Shy at first, Rhiannon simply needs a bit of time to warm up to new faces. If you approach her with patience and kindness, getting down to her level, she'll soon reveal her sweet nature, eagerly accepting pets and snuggles. As her tail starts to wag and she nuzzles close, you'll see the joy in her eyes at finding a new friend. While Rhiannon may be hesitant about the leash initially, with a slow and gentle approach, she's willing to accept it. With encouragement, she walks calmly and even allows herself to be picked up, showing her trust and affection for those who show her love and understanding. Rhiannon's $225 adoption fee covers all essential services, ensuring she's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives a wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Adoption hours are Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm by appointment. Simply call 602-971-1334 to schedule a visit and potentially welcome Rhiannon into your cherished forever family. With your love and patience, she's sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.

Puppy! Requirements: Meet whole family, dog intro, patient and loving family ready for puppy training, no shared walls Meet Peanut Butter, affectionately known as PB! This sweet dog was rescued from a difficult situation with his parents and is now on a heartwarming journey to find his forever home. PB might be a bit shy at first, but with a little patience, he transforms into a loving companion who adores cuddles, giving kisses, and having his belly rubbed. He is an energetic pup who enjoys playing fetch, uses a doggy door with ease, and gets along well with other dogs and even cats in his foster home. Peanut Butter is crate trained but prefers to snuggle up with his human at night. He forms deep bonds with his trusted person and can experience separation anxiety, so a home without shared walls would be ideal for him. This lovable boy is house-trained as long as he has regular access to the outdoors or a consistent routine. PB is also great on a leash and enjoys his daily walks. With a bit of time to decompress, Peanut Butter will make a loyal and affectionate addition to the right family. Story
**courtesy post** Meet Semper Fi! This little girl comes from a family of military. Semper Fi is the Marine Corps motto, meaning “Always Faithful” 🫶 This is my grandmother’s little dog who passed away recently 💔 I was sooo worried for her because she was so depressed & wouldn’t make eye contact. She was obsessed with my grandma. Really, they were obsessed with each other almost to the point where it was unhealthy 😂 My grandma & I caught her in 2016. We found out she was pregnant & she had 2 beautiful babies that found homes quickly. I wanted to adopt her out too but my grandma had just put her other little dog down & she needed a dog for her soul. So she stayed. My grandma was SO scared of losing her - she never let her outside. She used pee pads. I know this might sound cruel but my grandma didn’t know any better and only wanted to protect this street dog. Can you imagine not going outside for 8 years? Can you imagine losing your mom & having your whole world flipped upside down? You can now understand why I was so worried for this little dog having to face such a huge transition. Since being with me for a few days now, she goes in / outside on her own & LOVES the sunshine and exploring - it’s so cute to watch her discover this new life. She is looking for a patient home that will understand they need to go slow and allow her time to adjust, thrive and blossom. Whoever adopts her will need a secure yard. Spayed, vaccinated & microchipped. Let us know if you're interested!
