Meet Belle! 💕
At just 9 months old and 11 pounds, Belle is the sweetest Mini Pinscher (Min Pin) mix with lots of love and puppy energy to share! She loves everyone she meets, especially if you come bearing treats! She would prefer slow, patient introductions to new people, though. True to the traits of her breed, she’s the type of pup who may bark first and ask questions later, especially when she’s unsure or nervous. She does best in a calm, quiet environment without a lot of loud noises or commotion. A quiet, rural/suburban setting with a predictable routine would be ideal for Belle, where she can feel safe, comfortable, and confident. She's very food motivated, making her eager to learn and easy to win over.
Belle has plenty of energy and loves to play, especially with her favorite squeaky toys! She's also a great passenger in the car and enjoys going for walks. And when playtime is over, Belle is happy to switch gears and become your little snuggle buddy! She's got plenty of love to give and would be more than happy to curl up with her favorite people.
Belle currently coexists with an older dog and cat in her foster home. She's intrigued by the cat and seems to view them as a potential playmate, so her playful curiosity is something to keep in mind when considering a feline friend.
She's still working on her house training, but does very well with a consistent routine. Belle is also Lyme positive and currently asymptomatic.
Belle is ready to find her forever family! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
